Patrick Roberts!

Discussion in 'Ex Players' started by AJ Styles, Jan 24, 2016.

  1. Leigh was so happy for him he kicked and broke the advertising board haha

  2. How funny would it be if that was actually the case though? :smiley-laughing002:

  3. Can see what City saw in him.

Natural ability to beat players, effortless at times. Add to that the fact he is a winger who can shoot and finish and you have limitless potential.

  4. I can see there becoming a bit of a relationship striking up with this wee guy and the Parkhead crowd.

He wants to play in front of 60 thousand and we want to see quick, tricky wingers with his type of talent.

If he does what he just done to the diets to the full fats, he'll become an icon at this Club. I'm glad we have him guaranteed for another Season.

He's the type that give reason for people pay money to go watch Celtic.

  5. Haha, the "good" Johansen bound and gagged in a cupboard somewhere while the * evil twin is running about like a headless chicken pinging passes into the stand.

Back on topic though, Roberts is quality. Glad we have him for next season too, should give us some great memories!

  6. Defo worthy of a start against sevco.

  7. i have absolute no doubt he will start against sevco and against everyone else we face whilst hes here

  8. His first goal today was sublime - the pass from Rogic and his finish. Tremendous stuff.

  9. Really high quality goal, I've watched it about 20 times. Sublime.

  10. He looked very good yesterday. Causes panic everytime he has a little space to run at defenders. When he learns to start lifting his head and playing little one-twos to mix up his game he'll be an excellent player.

  11. Rogic was brilliant in the build up,won the ball well on the right and made a great pass to set him up.

Wish we could Roberts on a permanent deal but that won't happen

  12. Our current team doesnt dominate possession enough to probably get the best out of him, we're quite a disjointed team and so he doesn't get a lot of the ball. He'd have been great in past years when we pinned teams back and played around them trying to open them up.

  13. Exact opposite.

The fact Hearts had more possession played right into his hands. Pace and trickery needs space in behind to operate. He got it against Hearts.

Weirdly it may actually be the making of this team to have less support centrally from the wide players and allow opponents to have more possession against us which draws them out allowing a front 4 of; Griff, GMS, Rogic and Roberts to operate.

  14. This young man looks a real talent, i can see why he cost 12 million going on yesterdays showing. Rogic and GMS either side deserve credit to it was a really good performance from the 3 until rogic got hurt. Roberts though has a bit of the commons look about him great technique and looks like he can create something from nothing.

  15. Great player. Shame he's not ours and English.

Be great next season. Hopefully with a new manager picking the right players beside him he'll shine even more.

  16. Why is it a shame he's English? :97:

Denayer and Guidetti weren't ours either but both contributed loads last season.

  17. Well, obviously because I'm Scottish and he won't be playing for us.

Yip, that's why I said he'll be an asset for next season.

Seems a bit random, was it a shame Denayer was Belgian and Guidetti Swedish? :56:

  18. just admit it metrobhoy youre racialist against the engerlish

  19. It's a shame Bitton is Israeli he seems a lovely bloke
