He'll keep Forrest out the team easily, him and GMS fighting it out should get the best out of both of them as well.

Yes, that's surely the plan. Only thing that worries me is if we start acting like we've a player we're going to build our team around without planning for his eventual departure - like with denayer. we need Elyonoussi in the summer, or someone very like him, or we'll finish up with the core pulled out of our team again when he's recalled.

So positive to see players like Roberts alongside the younger lads though, to hopefully build the foundations of a conveyer of new, young talent for the future.

He looks quality, get him on from the start, beats players easily and plays with his head up.

That's why the lad cost 12 million. He has true potential. The lad can sure play. Will become a star in the next 4 years

If he manages to do half of what Mccourt did here then he'll cement his place among the clubs greatest...

    Johnstone, McNeil, Larsson, Lassad etc

Made an impact straight away. Hopefully starts next game so whoever he replaces works hard to get back into the team. We need competition for places to negate complacency.

Can't believe Christie got on before him.

The biggest surprise of the night was not bringing him on. We had absolutely no width, and Deila brought us in even narrower when he took Allan off for CKR. We were crying out for creativity, and a bit of width. He would have gave us both. Another headscratching decision from Deila.

They should have both been on. Roberts, Allan and Christie are the creative spark that we need. Until them three and Rogic get a run in the side together we will continue to see these shocking performances that are terrible to watch.
How the * Ronny fails to see this is beyond me. He is supposed to be the manager yet us fans can see it and he can't.

As soon as Boyata was sent off there was ZERO chance of him coming on, unless by some miracle we were three goals ahead with maybe 10 mins to go. Eleven on however and even if tied, he is probably on the field.
With 10 men, why would anyone possibly think that a relatively untried 18 yr old, who may be an exciting attacking prospect, has the wherewithal to be able to contribute defensively in that scenario when required?
Christie and the physical attributes (and frankly nous!) of Kazim-Richards were definitely the right choices in the circumstances.

    Here the whole time
Roberts is s relatively untried "19" year old. Christie is a relatively untried 20 year old. Richards is, quite frankly, a trumpet.

OK, so 19 - no experience whatsoever of senior football
Christie may be only a year older but has many many starts in the SPL and knows his way around
Kazim is a physical handful and also a well-experienced player.

You have your mind made up about the manager and can't see the tactical requirements that this situation needed - and Roberts was most certainly NOT it.

I am as excited as the next guy to see this kid play - but not when we have 10 men in a tied game. A Goal behind, or 11 men on the field, different story.
