    He’s a very particular type of player that won’t suit the vast majority of clubs. I think he’s realising that now.

    That being said, I’ve always wondered if the injury he got here just took a half yard off of him when dribbling which was obviously a huge part of his game.

    I suspect that may be the case because if he still had it he would at least be ripping apart his teammates in training. Enough to get at least some minutes in games surely?

    What a player during his first 18 months here.

    44 games - 17 goals and 21 assists

    Will always be remembered here for playing his part in the invincible treble.

    He should never have signed an extension with Man City, was clear he was just going to be loaned out again and again until they could finally get a decent fee for him, which has turned out to be a mistake by both parties, although I doubt city really care.

    Hopefully he can start rebuilding his career with this move. Sunderland are one of the top teams in their league so should suit his style of play rather than his previous moves to teams battling relegation/mid table.

    Best of luck to him. Career's been a bit of a disaster since he was here but going to a team at the top end of their table should suit him.

    McGeady was tearing it up for them last season so Roberts should be doing very well there.

    Pep * his career back in 2017 the deal was done player confirmed it himself £8m bid accepted and then last minute pep said loan deal. Went south since then.
