He never outshone Forrest. Forrest got his shot and never looked back.

He absolutely outshone Forrest in the Invincible season.

In fact he outshone Forrest during his entire first loan spell.

Second loan spell not so much, but Paddy spent most of it injured.

Wish the guy well. He was superb player for us in a fairytale celtic team that did the domestic invincible treble. Put up a decent show in the Champions League against Man City. And trounced the huns. Loved that season. One of the nicest kits as well, Seville 03 vibes.

Stuart Armstrong with his hair so fine.
    Moussa Dembele hat trick.
The 5-2 win over Beer Sheeva.
The Lisbon Lions stand opened once again.
The standing section in the North Curve. The atmosphere renewed.
Player of the season. Scott Sinclair. Goal after goal. He was so wonderful.
The 50th anniversary of Lisbon 67. The TIFO. The Celtic fairlytale.
Tierney and his best mate Roberts the bro mance.
Thumping rangers 5-1 at Ibrox. The old dog Lustig. Priceless. From start to finish that year was magic. I loved 2016/17. And I loved that team, in the course of one of the best years of my life.

Roberts ran riot at during a game at Firhill. He was amazing. The fans were singing sign him up! He took on the whole team. Banged in the goals. There was nothing but pure joy towards Parick Roberts from the stands.

Roberts. I'd give him a chance any day of the week to ressurect his career.

Get him on the phone. Forget Sunderland lower league.

If James Mccarthy can get somehow get 4 year deals at Parkhead... Patrick Roberts most certainly deserves a phone call.

I'd love to see him in the Green and White once again. If it doesn't work out. It doesn't work out.

Then at least we welcomed back a much loved celtic player. We'll never know unless we bring him home.

When he came back from injury he could not win his place back though.

I was against him returning however if we are able to get him on a free next year I'd take him. Already know the talent he can possess and will only be 25. That's if he would even be open to returning here.

Which he jumped back to rather than push for a permanent deal and has had a mediocre career since

He has yet to play as good as he did with us at any other stage and is unlikely to now

    That’s factually incorrect.

he pushed for a permanent deal in 2017 which we agreed with Man City for £8m and pep changed his mind to a loan deal and the next summer we signed eddy for the money we where paying for Roberts.

I didn't know that he was pushing to stay

For those who are in love.....
People laughed before when I mentioned offering him a trial in the summer (thought he was on a free at the time) but he's had so many pish loan's and injuries that I think it would warrant it..

I doubt we'd get the same player we had..

There's a reason he can't get a game in the French second tier and is now on his way to the English third tier..

See I think Roberts would do a turn for us. Its horses for courses with some football players. His close control and availability to beat players close to him was brilliant and at Celtic you've never any time on the ball it suited him perfectly.

He wouldn't have had that at other teams he went to. Look at Pukki absolutely hopeless for us but his game was always running in behind players and having space. I personally think Klimala was another that had alot of talent just not for how teams set up against us

He should still be able to get game time in ligue 2 if good enough for us even if it doesn't suit every aspect of his game.
