    This is what I had said way back in the summer when people were in a state of euphoria about getting him for a 'break the bank' loan price. You cant account for injuries and all in all he's not been value for the high fee paid for him. Unlucky for him, but Celtic perhaps shouldn't have gone back in for him for an inflated price and moved on to other signings

    We all know he is an outrageous talent, One of the best kept secrets in football. Slight loss of form , an injury could work in our favour in terms of getting him permanently in Jan.

    Not hindsight, I'd posted it here on the forum when he signed saying one or two injuries would mean he wldnt ever be value for money as he'd play only part of a season.

    Would love for us to sign Roberts on a permanent basis but I don't think it will happen in January. He will still have 1.5 years left on his contract with Manchester City at that point so I don't see anything happening in January. Next summer however is a different story.

    Been a frustrating season for injuries.

    Simunovic, Dembele and Roberts in particular have struggled. Annoying as it has hampered the consistency in our performances IMO. If not the results.
