True about his advisors, needs to be at a club where he will get a lot of the ball. I sit in the north stand 103 lower and he is something else to watch, he glides past players and looks like he can go up a few more gears if he has to. Like today he had the north stand in the palm of his hand for stretches of the game in the second half. Hope it isn't the last we see of him at Celtic Park, we will struggle to unlock some defences next season without him because the level of teams parking the bus at celtic park is beyond a joke now.

The BBC radio interview I heard post match today was quite interesting....

He was clearly really stoked about the season and the records etc... Was asked several times about chances of coming back and really sounded torn about what to say. I definitely got the impression that he knew sonething but just couldn't say. Maybe anything is under wraps until after the cup Final as season isn't really done until then. Although I've heard that he is definitely planned into mank city pre-season training...

That lot are just going to get the chequebook out and buy Higuain or Messi or whatever so he's going to be peripheral even if he stays there.

Certainly wouldn't do his prospects any harm to stay with us another year... Hopefully he'll have a taste for trophies and medals now!

If the bookies were doing odds on it... I'd put a few quid on him being back in time for CL qualifiers.

His head tells him to go back to City, but his heart says Tierney.

There are numerous things that worry me about him being unable to come back, but one of the biggest ones is the English homegrown rule...I imagine City wanting him in the squad, even if the * will waste him. He's one of the most talented English footballers about, so they might see him being in the squad as useful.

That is unless he forces a move through.

One thing is fairly certain though!

Despite not being that involved first half if season...

If the second half of the season ... Winning A treble ( please) , being part of a record breaking squad that will become legend... And witnessing that finale today isn't enough to convince him... Then nothing will!

Honestly. I half expected him to sit down on the ball.

My hopes lie in City's summer transfers. It's only paper talk but City are linked to Walker, Rose and Barkley which would help their homegrown quota. Also recently linked to Neymar so that would take up a forward position.
Come on the City summer spending!

He didn't look like a guy who has played his final game at Celtic park as he didn't do the wave good bye or throwing his shirt into the crowd routine most players do when moving on, maybe I'm living hope.:78:

Normally I don't like comparing players to past greats, especially a lion, but I see why people are comparing him with Jinky. He's just a wee guy but his ability and ball control are phenomenal, he can just take them out of the game with his footwork alone and race away at speed.

If he signs and wears number 7 I will be * dancing.

City's fans (or lack of) are awful and generate no atmosphere, it'd be a huge and immediately apparent contrast for Paddy going from having the GB to that. That'd be one drawback for him moving down south though I'm sure there's about a million other variables and moving parts behind the scenes.

My old man says it all the time, and Jinky was and still is his hero, like Larsson is and always will be mine.

The comparisons are obvious. Roberts is the epitome of a Celtic player. When he was out the side earlier in the season I was desperate for him to get a run, and over the past couple months he has proven why.

Our best player on form, for me. Sinclair is excellent, Armstrong, Broony, Dembele etc etc. But in terms of sheer brilliance, moments of class and entertainment, Roberts wins it all day long.

Gutted to see him leaving, just hope he maybe sees the light and benefit of staying here, he's only 20...working under a guy like Rodgers he could become world class. Genuinely. While still being able to fulfil ambitions in England when he is 25 or so...a man can dream.

Yeah, he's showing he is by far the most talented player in the league right now. His ability to go down the outside has greatly improved his game. He used to cut in on to his left foot all the time but now he switches it up. On his game, he's nigh impossible to stop.

Having him and Sinclair in the same team is perfect. Sinclair has the pace and power to go past defenders, whereas Paddy has the skills and quick feet to tie them in knots.

Just got a feeling that something is in the works.
Wouldn't surprise me if a deal is already agreed that he is loaned back on the basis we get in to the champions league. Will give city the chance to have him for preseason and then send him back

Aye, first time I'll be willing City on to go out and spend hundreds of millions, and you've got to imagine they will.

To be fair that guy didn't know Dembelle was on the flight to London when a lot of people did.

    He's just stating the obvious.

I feel so sorry for him as he's clearly one of us and doesn't want to go but ultimately the choice isn't his.........he doesn't get to make the decision and it really is out of his hands.
