I.do although hard to bring myself to say it,, but for me Pep will loan him to an EPL team to finally see how he fares in the league.

I.dont see him.getting game time at City next season until he's had a season in the EPL.

The celebration for the second was very Cantona like. Dripping with arrogance, class!

He tortured that left back Booth. Was almost doing the Kanchelskis (spelling) and standing on the ball. Was just stopping and inviting the challenge second half which all the great entertainers tend to do. Love's beating a man..

    Jinky would've loved him tonight..

It would be interesting to see how much City wanted for him. Very interesting.

He's a thoroughbred Celtic type player; entertaining, vision, dribbling, end product, likeable.

His performances probably aren't doing us any favours :56:

We'd of been better leaving him out the last 5/6 game's and sticking a bid in :fear:

    Boy's class..

He's only 20. Surely another year or two with us would make so much more sense than * about in the championship for somebody like Huddersfield or even a bottom end of the table Burnley. * that, Champions league games, playing in front of 60 thousand week in week out. I would sign him, * it. Man City can just * 60 million on some geezer from PSG. We can take Paddy.

PR: It was a good performance and a good couple of good goals for me. It was a really great three points tonight.

PR: There's only one game left in the league, and it's been an incredible season, so we need to keep ourselves focused.

PR: It's been a great year for the whole team and right now I'm feeling confident and scoring goals, which is good for me.

PR: Overall, it was a good performance tonight with some great goals, it was a top night.

His talent deserves to be on show in the Champions League. If City don't want him, we are the best place for him.

He'll be playing every week in front of a support that worships him and working with a manager who will constantly improve his game.

BR on @patrick7roberts :"He’s a top, top talent. You can see him benefiting from playing within a structure."

BR: "And the idea of how we play will be very similar when he goes back to Man City.

BR: "Over the course of this season, he has learned how to press the ball, to be in the right positions & intense and aggressive."

BR: "He scored two goals tonight and created the penalty. A brilliant young player and still a lot of education and training required."

BR: "But from having worked with big talents, such as Sterling and Coutinho, he certainly has all of the qualities."

looks more and more a Celtic player the more games he plays, i was not sure on keeping him long term for the fee being put around, but right now we have a gem in our ranks and must do all we can to keep him.

BRENDAN Rodgers believes Patrick Roberts has the talent to reach the top of the game after the winger capped off a stellar showing tonight against Partick Thistle with a brilliant brace.

The 20-year-old, who is approaching the end of his 18-month loan spell from Manchester City, terrorised the Jags throughout the 90 minutes at Firhill, finding the net with two stunning strikes and also winning the penalty which Leigh Griffiths converted to open the scoring in the 5-0 rout.

Speaking after the game, the manager said: “He’s a top, top talent. You can see him benefiting from playing within a structure, and the idea of how we play will be very similar when he goes back to Man City.

“Over the course of this season, first and foremost, he has learned how to press the ball, to be in the right positions and be intense and aggressive when he doesn’t have it. That element of his game has improved, and the rest is about positioning and where to be on the field, and that last third of the pitch, the incisive phase, is about his magic.

“He scored two goals tonight and created the penalty. He is a brilliant young player and there still a lot of education and training required for him. But, from having worked with big talents, such as Sterling and Coutinho, he certainly has all of the qualities.

“It’s just going to depend how many will be in front of him and how many Man City will be looking to bring in. He’s a joy to work with and he’s a great kid.”

Another year loan would be amazing. Probably the best we can hope for.

Even that might depend on whether we make the CL again.

He is supremely talented. Worth the admission fee alone, to break the cliche meter.

More talented than Mcgeady was at that age and already has more end product. Such an exciting prospect.
