Hope he stays obviously. I would imagine, assuming we agree on a fee/deal, that it will then boil down to the discussion city have with him/his agent regarding how they see the next stage of his career going - stay at City and fight for a start or a further loan. Hopefully he is a fan, as that will help us greatly.

If this isn't true, Derrybhoy should receive a life time ban from oxygen.

    I'm * sceptical n I told the story * sake! :56:

I genuinely do believe him though. He does have a tendency to be a bit of a * now and then but I dunno if he'd make up something like that, no getting away from a lie like that if you're caught out haha.

He actually said to me "if you can get it in the bookies, get on Paddy staying with you for another year, it's a done deal." So if he was telling me to bet on it and it turns out to be * I'm kicking his teeth in :giggle1:

Seriously hope it's true now, didn't want to post it in the off chance it isn't but I was too excited :D

I can't see him getting a shot at City. Pep had the luxury of bringing youth into his Barca and Bayern teams when you have the likes of Iniesta, Xavi, Messi, Robben, Lahm and the likes in those teams. As well as that, the leagues are far less competitive, and that's from myself who absolutely detests the EPL and the financial circus it has become.

City hold all the cards here, even if Roberts wants to stay.

It will be entirely down to what Pep and his backroom staff want to do. They will go and spend a couple hundred million in the next month or 2 though guaranteed which may end up being what makes or breaks the Roberts deal.

Bitter sweet if he does sign on for another year.

Feel as if it would be his last year as it's not often these days top talent stays at the club for over 2.5-3 years, never mind when the club doesn't even own the player.

Obviously wouldn't be opposed to it, £500k plus wages is a snip, would just rather tie him down long term.
