He was clearly gutted he never got a goal against them. Mind he took a few shots quite far out in the last game.

The way KT says something along the lines of "he's no away for now let's just wait and see" gave me a glimmer of hope, will cry when/ if he goes

Paddy if you've got to go away.

I don't think I can take the pain.

    Won't you stay another day.

    Don't you know
    We've come too far now
    Just to go
And try to throw it all away
    Thought I heard you say
    You love Celtic
That your love was gonna be here to stay
    I've only just begun
    To know you
    All I can say is
Won't you stay just one more season

He has spent 2years of a contract here , let's say he's on a 5 at city ,if he goes back and tries anothers shot at it for 2 years he is left on 1 year and able to do a pre contract ,I see this as our only way to solve it and both parties are happy .

It's likely Pep will assess what he wants to do with him for pre season whether he wants to keep, loan or sell. It's been clear that Pep isn't for giving young up and coming (never mind English) players a chance. He's too used to having big money and signing these world class (not saying Paddy isn't but when you look at the money Man City have, their idea of world class is Neymar). If he's sent on loan I think it'd probably be to a championship side but we can live in hope. As for selling, if we aren't the first to put a bid, riots will ensue.

Yeah, but they'll need to maintain their quota of homegrown players, I can't see them going out and spunking another 15-20million on someone else when they have Paddy possibly returning...

Looks like we won't find out until the end of the summer,he will be back at City and if it doesn't look like he he will feature there he will come back on loan.
That's the worst part about loans

i have a feeling paddy may well be here next season.

i know he is not making any noises about staying and has said the opposite, but i just have this notion that a deal of some sort will be done.

city may well play ball at a lower figure- they paid £6 mil for Samaras loaned and then sold him to us for around 1.75 mil.

Is it unrealistic to suggest we could offer them around 5 mil and a percentage of next sale and a first refusal on furutre transfer?

The thing that'll stop us signing him is his own desire to have a proper go down the epl. He will be loaned to lower epl club or championship club next season. What a shame and waste of a talent.

  18. Not unrealistic at all. Sounds a reasonable offer in the circumstances. With those built in conditions.

I think there's zero chance of Roberts being here next season and those of you who are hanging on to hope, are only going to end up disappointed. That video of Rodgers, during the POTY night, all but confirms he's going back to Man City and the player himself has said he wants to try and get into their first team. He's certainly got the quality to play in the EPL so it wouldn't surprise me if he got a few appearances in their first team, or was loaned out to another EPL club.
