    I was deas against a comment that @\o/ made on here a cupla weeks ago that we should * a good wad of our transfer kitt on Roberts.

    Tell ye what though, I haven't half changed my tune on that one.

    I'd use ALL our budget to get him in if it required.

    If we want to get to the next level, he's the sort of quality that we need mate. Rodgers said 2 quality signings, if there's any way he can be one of them I'd be * delighted.

    Still think we need anywhere between 4-6 quality signings, but yeah maybe 2 of sheer quality - wee Paddy would fit that criteria.

    If we can get rid of 4 players (Bitton, Commons, Ambrose, Ciftci), then say Roberts, plus another for the left side wing. Possibly anothrr keeper, definitely a new striker and perhaps another DM.

    Too much. I get what you say, but we can't afford that kind of money.And anyway a 20M tag on him would weigh heavily on his shoulders.
    8M Max and I would take him, if not we have to move on.

    Hmmm, wonder if it's maybe worth promoting from the unders for that position then, KT is irreplaceable there and I can't imagine there will be many older players out there who'll be willing to come in and be understudy to a 20 y/o.

    Yeah its a shame as I'd love to see him stay, he's been one of my favourite players and I've maintained for quite a while he makes Forrest look ordinary.

    I still don't get for the life of me though how he thinks he can get into the City team OR be satisfied playing for mid table Premier League teams.

    Maybe an experienced head, towards the end of their career, steady influence at 32 odds. Don't think any young boys going to want to come in, they know they won't get a look in.
