He will be a huge loss in the summer. He's so good I just don't see us getting a replacement of his quality.

 

Aye. Forrest, on his game, is a very good player. But Paddy is on another level. His vision, weight of pass, trickery and finishing are all that much better.

 

Hopefully Rodgers and the board do everything they can to keep him here. I'd hate to see him go on loan next season to EPL relegation fodder. He needs to be at an attacking team.

 

* me he's good. It's a shame he's at man city. He'll be wasted. Honestly put him in a Southampton etc to get some good minutes and not just park the buss cannon fodder. Don't let him waste at city. He's too good for that.

 

He'll never get a chance at City, now that Guardiola will be spending billions to turn over the entire squad after losing today and struggling to finish 4th in league (though Liverpool may bail them out). Agent would be wise to find team firmly planted in upper half of EPL. Otherwise, come back to Paradise, Paddy!

The fans should organize huge banners asking him to stay. Make a massive effort. You never know whether his going is to do with aspiration to go somewhere bigger, more money or simply the fact the board wouldn't sanction the transfer fee? If he's aspiring to go somewhere bigger he should take a look at Henrik who will never be forgotten and who went on to even greater glory when he left. Henrik commanded as much respect in the Premiership with his skill and professionalism. They knew talent when they saw it and Alex Ferguson would have had him years earlier if he had wanted to go. Henrik honored his contract and the fans. At that age and with that skill, like Henrik, Paddy's day is always going to come but right now he could aspire to legendary status at Celtic. He could be one of the names tripping off the tongue in a hundred years time...one of the greats. Imagine if he stayed for 10 in a row? Maybe then and only then would I concede it might be time for him to move on for his own benefit.

If we can't convince him to stay getting a replacement in before the qualifiers has to be a priority in the summer, not meaning any offense to Forrest who's really stepped up this season but even at such a young age Paddy is a level above.

I just can't see him going on loan to an average EPL team,if he is told by City he is out on loan again I think it will be with us.
I don't see him getting a chance of first team football at City next season either so I'm hopeful
