    Yer knit picking my words to suit yourself I said a 4 month loan deal and he has to be back at man city for pre season so to make it easy for you deal to the end of the Scottish domestic season and then return to man city

    Denayer was a fantastic loan. But it knocked us back when he finished. With this young guy it seems we would be doing City the favour. And not the other way round.

    To touch on the Denayer signing, we knew both him and VVD were leaving from the January before. Why for the life off me didn't we prepare for that and bring a centre half in on January to get him in and settled for the qualifers.

    We can be so short sighted at times

    Seems to me that this guy will get nowhere near the city 1st team.they will want him to come to us get games in, then go back to them.

    Probably loan him out again, then aim to punt him, keeps the agents happy and keeps there academy churning out players with the aim of doing this. Possibly similar will happen with Denayer.

    We have no use for him , only agree with loan deals if we are in last 16 or in a tight title race, where we have to boost the team

    You get weird kicks out of telling people you have insider knowledge which just so happens to be regurgitated tabloid rumours a few minutes after they've posted them on Social Media.

    The reality is you don't know what's happening with Roberts or any other potential player signing other than attempting to form the jigsaw pieces like every other Celtic fan. You didn't know he was signing today for 4 months and you don't know the deal is dead because we want him for a year.

    It's almost certain that City will have a new manager in Pep come the summer. They clearly want all their players back for preseason for him to look over and make up his mind who to keep for the season.

    Well it looks like we are holding out for a longer loan deal than just till the end of the season which i feel is good. The champions league is were its at for us- as someone else mentioned we have more than enough firepower domestically to see us through but in Europe a little bit of class is a must. If we get him on a longer deal then i will be happy at that.

    That will probably be what happens if he does sign. He will sign on a 12 month loan but with the option for Man City to recall him in the summer, that suits both teams as Celtic can then spout pish about it being a 12 month loan and that we thought Man City wouldnt have recalled him knowing fine well they will. Man City as someone mentioned before will probably appoint a new manager(Guardiola) in the summer so that will be the excuse "we didnt know Man City were going to swap manager, Pellegrini was happy for him to come here for a year" :smiley-laughing002:
