Turned out a much harder game than I thought it'd be. Good win in the end.

 

Think we may need to trade in the team bus for a team ambulance at this rate.

 

Enjoyable match, but the injury to Izaguirre was serious and worrying. Any news about how he's getting on? Shin to side of the head and then he's clearly dazed and gets a delayed reaction... doesn't bear thinking about.

Great goal from Balde, and surprised he came on so early tbh. A strong presence.

Otherwise I was generally happy with all players' performances. Very difficult to pick a MOTM. Probably Van Dijk for me. He's so reliable and commanding it's just a joy to watch. Stokes was all a great solid player.

All in all I thought we played wonderfully as a team.

Our thoughts are with Izzy. Hope it's nothing untoward.

It was a poor game, I really wish we'd play better in the league and start playing exciting football. But the win was important and we managed it so I'm happy.

Izzy defo man of the match for me, wee man played great.

 

watched balde play 90 minutes for our youth squad and you can tell he's still very inexperienced. He has a tendency to not pass when he should. Like the goal he scored last spfl game he played. He should have passed it to stokes.

I really like the look of him though. The quality is there and he seems to score every game! He scored in that youth game I watched aswell.

Well in Balde, made it look easy. Izzy and Van Dijk were exceptional maybe their best games in a celtic shirt.

Far from there best, good yes but with the greatest of respect its Thistle mate

 

Nice irony that Sammy played gash and ended up with a big gash.
Izzy and Kayal looking back to their best. Balde with a fantastic cameo, well done Lennon for putting him on early today.

Not the best conditions but I thought it was a pretty good game and it's another 3 points so no complaints for me. Don't think the injuries are too bad either.

 

Balde came on and scored a good goal. Pukki missed umpteen chances. Who gives a * that he didn't pass it to Stokes against Killie. That's two good strikes taking on the last defender. He won the game for us. Rather than worry about Balde passing the ball, just get the ball played first time into his feet and he'll score.

 

I think we were lucky to get away with all three points at the end, as that is a very good Thistle team in the making.

But what is it with us ending up with ten men all the time now

 

He missed two. Not quite 'umpteen'.
