I tell you what...Whether we qualify or not for the Groups I'm not comfortable going through the season with only 2 recognised strikers, if this policy isn't going to change as per Brendans comments a few weeks ago then we at the very least need to start playing Aitchinson when needed rather than makeshift attacking formations.

If we had the budget of Ross County then I'd accept it but the money has been pouring in and with the exception of Ntcham is not being put back in bolstering the squad in the right areas.

Folk might say we will address this if we qualify but I personally think it needs addressing regardless as we approach a long season ahead of hopefully around another schedule of 45 or so domestic games alone

Think if Storey wasn't dramatically flinging himself down he might have got the penalty. Wasn't as clear cut as I thought it was going to be. He just nips in in front of Bitton and it happens in a flash.

Watched the highlights back. 100% penalty. If we'd been denied it I'd be raging. As mentioned a few times above, we got away with it.

Also, for the goal. Officially Ntchams or will it go down as Brown's? He seemed to get the last touch on it which would be a shame for Ntcham.

I'm writing to BT Sport later to find out how they actually turn the crowd noise down to almost mute when Celtic fans sing certain songs, I'm doing this purely on the basis that I would love to be able to do the same to my Mrs when she starts moaningabout stuff.

I'm also going to ask why this facility is not being used by them every time Michael Owen or Steve Mcmanaman open their stupid yap, 10000 times more offensive than any Roll of Honour

by far the most awesome thing last night was, that the game was shown on a free swiss channel in HD. I felt like winning the lottery.

No. I said it on this thread just after the game finished. The commentator said "a massive talking point" to discuss. Which will it be Brown's goal or the penalty:39:

One a definite goal chalked off and the other a possible goal chalked off. We were actually done rather than got away with one. In a couple of weeks time this will be used as proof that things even themselves out when we are done out of a stonewaller

Ntchams goal for me and lucky to get away with the pen incident.
Sinclair dissapointed me again- was KT that was beating the defender and getting into good positions while SS stood about or passed backwards-hope he's saving his A-game for Wednesday.Ntcham looks extremely comfortable and will get even better as he finds his feet. Good work rate, great touch and strong as * on the ball. Makeshift defence worries me-need to bring a CD in pronto

Whilst your at it ask them why they feel the need to apologise for players or fans swearing as well as it only draws attention to the said bad language when most people would otherwise not even notice it. Also people swear as long as it isn't the commentators themselves they have * all to apologise for.

Also, hated them making mischief about Armstrong

To say he was smiling when nitcham shot wide and then "he wasn't smiling" when we scored was nothing short of disgraceful

I'll take the result from last night any day, but the performance I felt was poor. Far too laboured, like against Ronsenborg at home. We had hunners of possession but done very little with it. Thistle defended well and made us play far too many sideways passes. We have to work out how to get round that. I felt the movement could have been far better upfront. Not havin a focal point * us, again.

Bitton is not a CB. it's akin to have efe back. * bombscare. It may work in the SPL but not in Europe. One criticism I have of BR, and I said it after the RBK game away, why doesn't he play young players and give them their chance when the time comes (ie Ajer at CB and Aitchison as CF) when we actually need them instead of re-jigging the system to appease more experiments/favourtsied players and play them out of position. Almost backfired last night. Bitton lost Doolan for the header he should have scored and then was very clumsy and should have conceded a pen. Had Storey not leapt like he had and went down naturally he prob would have got it.

The sooner we stop playing folk out of position the better. Give youth a chance. BR saw what they did to Killie so why not trust them. It's the only way they become trustworthy.

Rosenborg and Thistle both pressed us man for man and never sat back and took a pumping and it's meant we have struggled to break them down, Astana play like that and we could be out because we do not look anywhere near sharp enough, our most technical players last night had a first touch that would bounce 5 yards away

Not liking this tactic of having sinclairs starting position 10 yards further infield it means when he gets the ball he's got his back to goal and takes him out the game, also stops us from having a natural outball down that wing

Whilst I don't wish to criticise Brendan, I agree 100% with you.

With only two strikers in the squad, it only takes one to be injured, and the other to need a rest, and despite having 70% of the possession, we're reduced to relying on a lucky deflection to get the 3 points.
