point being no top side would sign a keeper this late for number 1 they all sign them before the start of the season reason being they have time to get used to the squad and have a few pre season games under them.

Only way this would not matter for us if we resign Fraser Forster .

    I agree with Kemo.

People are laughing at Rangers just now, even more so with the tax issue. I am not laughing. They actually have a decent squad with more players coming in. They are looking at players up to 3mil, whether they want to come or not is irrelevant, they are going for them.

We are going for trialists and the players we want to sign we're offering a pittance for. We are quite well off as a club, there is no need for it. We take in 30mil a year from season books and game tickets alone.

If Rangers can spend 4mil on Jelavic and try to buy 2-3mil defenders, then we should be matching, or, more importantly, going one better. Two competing teams battle as much in the transfer market as on the pitch. whoever brings in the most quality has a better chance.

We are * around with trialists and youngsters. Lets get some * quality in and get it in now. The money is there. Everybody knows the going rate for decent players in this economy. Get some cash out and back Lenny and our team.

The board need to get their fingers out and their blinkers off.

Rangers are not as * as many seem to believe and letting them get to 4iaR, considering Rangers vast troubles from tax, debt and mongo fans acquiring fines, is completely unacceptable as far as I am concerned.

We must win the league this year.

Absolutely spot on. 100% nail on head.

No investment = no title. Not even 1 IAR

the team has had about 6-8 games and are still not up to speed should we then get a new striker that takes another 8 weeks to get up to speed thats way into the half of a season, to then discover he still needs time to adjust ffs and as there are loads on here agree the same as when playing friendlies its only building up your team but the difference is he will need to be up to speed right away.

Agreed. But the team should be up to speed. Why hasnt Neil and the board not identified players before now? This should be an ongoing thing and towards the end of the season Neil and his coaches and scouts should have went to the board with a list of players.

Injuries to Izzy and Kayal have highlighted the difficulties our squad has. We are now one injury away from being in the *.

Hooper or Stokes gets injured then we are *. Hopefully Kayal is only for a game or so, but we really need to offload 2/3 players and bring in 2/3 as well as a keeper. It might even mean looking to cherry pick from the SPL as a cheaper option if we cant afford to go to Europe.

We have a squad that came on strong late last season, really gelling down the home stretch. We went from being awful two years ago to being inches from the title last season. We've taken maximum points from our first two league games. We are yet to play in Europe yet...I see no need to panic.

Your right. Its a problem. I think with some of them we are going to take a financial loss. Rasmussen and Hooiveld for example. Might be worth giving a few of them a pay off and let them become free agents or just let them go on a free. In the long term it might be financially better. Would also allow space for players to come in.

The decision to give Sammy a 3 year contract in January now just looks insane.

We lost the league to a * huns team last year.
We have made 3 signings since, 2 of whom are squad players.
    We don't have a keeper.
    The league has started.
    Why not panic?

Newcastle aren't proving difficult to deal with, they've said all along he's not for sale. It's Lennons inability to accept that which is going to see us miss out on our 2nd choice (Sandomierski) and leave us going for our 3rd or 4th choice over the next few weeks.

No matter which way you look at it we should never be going into a must win European tie with only Zaluska and Cervi as our keepers.

Completely agree that there's no rush to bring in a striker or left back but the keeper situation should've been sorted long before now.

How many players should go and who do you think they are?

I don't even know how much some of the sideline players even earn for us. I expect Sammy is on a fair bit now. Can't imagine Rasmussen and Hooiveld being on the big bucks, but I don't really know, I'm gussing. I'd let Maloney go easy.

    You got any ideas?

Most people understand it takes time but we have known we needed a keeper since end of may or even since we signed Forster on loan.as for a striker there is no getting away from the fact that Lenny Is playing a dangerous game of waiting for Bellamy.I think we will see 2 or 3 loans from the premiership in the last day

Celtic need a centre half and a goalkeeper bottom line. We score enough goals and midfield is best in the league - no panic but Craig Gordon and A N Other proven Centre Half will do me - Im more than happy to wait 1 year for a Goalkeeper who has lost his place at Sunderland and Scotland will loads to prove and more talent than any goalie we might have ever had.

No idea what the players are on. But seeing as our wage bill is @ £38m a year then there are some pretty high earners at the club. There are players at the club that are on serious money.

We could probably do with offloading Rasmussen, Murphy, Loovens and if an offer came in, Cha.

I think these guys are on decent wages and arent contributing. I know Loovens has been playing, but lets face it, hes *.

I would only let Cha go for a fee as he is more than decent. I feel that with Matthews and Wilson in the side we are top heavy with right backs.

We need a top quality keeper if we want to win the league. With regards to panicking about them making it 4 in a row, I'm sure we all remember in Gordon Strachan's last season, when we blew 4IAR that we were 7 points clear after we beat them at Ibrox. What would happen if a similar situation happens this time eg they come and win at Parkhead on the 28th December and build up a strong lead at the top of the table?(* forbid it) Would they possibly blow it, the way we blew it in 2009? Doubt it.

if as some people believe we have no money and thats why were fuking about as has been said, why buy wanyama ,why go for bellamy ,why have we not sold any of our assets to buy a gk and striker, i think we have money but are gonna use the system to suit and be wiser with money as we have to many bad buys in our team who are proving hard to shift.

No we don't. It's the reason we lost the league despite having the best midfield in the league and conceding the fewest goals of any SPL side since 00-01.

After Hooper and Stokes we have no strikers that actually score so if either of those are off form or injured then we're always likely to drop points. We need at least one, preferably two, strikers that are capable of coming in and scoring goals on a regular basis as Samaras, Murphy and Rasmussen are * dire.
