Maybe could play up front in games at parkhead never gonna break away from defence but would be good with passes into feet at edge of box where defenders are a bit edgy bout putting foot in could break down teams with 9 men defences. could see him winning lots of free kicks and pens.

wouldnt say it was a daft thread tbh, isnt this place for supporters with different views debating with each other?
I think mccourt could play up front in a 3 man forward line :50:

Moravcik never did much defending, and he turned out to be a legend.

I have said before, if McCourt is on the park he will create chances and score goals, what more do peope want. The guy is technically the most skillful player in the spl and on this form should be starting every game.

With Juarez, ledley and kayal in the team it would allow paddy the luxury of a free role.

No, he is an attacking midfielder and can score and set up chances from there.

When he came on yesterday and started skipping past players, the fans were up on their feet and the atmosphere was brilliant :50:

That's the team I would play too with Kayal playing a deep play-makiing role making it a diamond shape, what a team that looks :50:

How can he not get a game ahead of Maloney or Forrest then?
must be a conspiricy. I hear it's cos the manager doesn't like folk from Northen Ireland.

    How's his positional awareness?
    How's his vision of play?
    How's his physical condition?
    How's his range of passing?
    how's his work rate?
    how's his tackling?

    Best footballer in Scotland...
    :56:
there's ALOT more to being a pro footballer than taking it round a couple of guys and scoring.

Nobody dislikes an "I told you so" as much as me but I feel we are now at the stage where I must indulge myself...I've been saying it for years and few listened. THE MAN IS A GENIUS.:celt_2::shamrock::bbpd:

Behind the striker would suit him, where he could float around where ever he likes pick the ball up and run at defenders. He is never gonna be a "striker". But his finishing in front of goal is better than everyone bar Stokes and Hooper IMO

not all footballers need to have the same attributes m8, and his vision of play and range of passing is pretty decent to say the least if you ask me

Ridiculous to even question his vision or range of passing. As for the manager, hes from Northern Ireland and can be seen waxing lyrical about Paddy on many youtube clips.Stick to your own subjects and enjoy your late win over the Accies yesterday.......

I think that Paddy's long passing is one of the most surprising aspects of his game, its top notch at times! I just never thought he was that kind of player, he's supremely talented

i dont think any1 has his ability in scotland ,his close control and shooting is top drawer,we are lucky to have a few players of similar quality with better engines and who work harder for the team, watching him play is like a throwback to george best ,maybe thats the era he should have graced ,when pace was not the be all and end all.

can't say I've actually seen Paddy make a smart run off the ball or pick out a lovely pass.
Really? Our manager's from Northen Ireland? wow.
didn't know that. What's his name?

Why isn't mccourt first name of the team sheet if he's the best footballer in Scotland?

When Strachan wasn't playing him it was , according to some on here, that he didn't like Irish people. Figured it must still stand as McCourt still isn't getting a game

to be the best footballer in the country imo you'd need more than the ability to take it round a couple of guys n score. You'd need to be a good allround player to be "the best footballer is scotland"

    the best footballer in Scotland.
    that's what I'm replying to.
most entertaining on the ball? maybe
best footballer in the country? not a chance.
and if he was, he'd be first name on the team sheet. He isn't.

has he played a whole game for us yet? a real game, not a friendly.

I'd be expecting the best player in the country to be playing 90mins of football a week.

Funnily enough you usually see this every time McCourt is on the field.

What the * does Lennon being from the North of Ireland have to do with the price of cheese?
