Someone commented on it saying that if that was Messi, people would be saying it's the best goal ever. It's true though...

 

So should we only have a squad of 11 players? Get a grip, it's a squad game, everybody has a part to play over the course of a season.

 

BBC are checking out a rumour he is at Blackpool.

Don't want him to leave but he's not going to get a game with us at the moment.

 

I want to see him get a game but Lennon doesn't. He might go...

no, really, just try.

he is overrated by a fraction of our support. wildly overrated. if he was as good as people think he is, he should be starting every week. he doesn't because he isn't.

get a grip? read my past posts. i believe in two men for every one position. obviously a good squad would be that the size of around 25 probably. McCourt is, what? 5th choice in every area he plays. i wouldn't mind him staying if he was to get a game...but he won't.

two appearances this season. really pulling his weight.

my point was he spends more time sitting in the stand than he does on the pitch, or even on the bench now. what's the point in having him? better punting him and saving the wage while getting a fee.

baffles me why Lennon has kept him and buffered offers for him. it's either a case of, the deal wasn't good enough or he sees him in the team. i can't envisage the latter due to the way McCourt's season has gone so far.

oh, and if a 28/28 yr old isn't considered a first team regular by now, it's time to move on. i think it's daylight robbery how we continue to have him here if he, or any 23+ yr old, doesn't play regularly.

 

even i was surprised that he wasn't utilised more during our rocky patch. he wasn't used and those who were eventually stepped up to the plate and pulled us out the *.

i just don't see a place for him here any more.

 

It seems to me that Lennon has personal issues with Paddy as he has kept faith with others who deserved to be dropped earlier in the season.

 

i doubt they have personal issues. they are both professionals. i think he put out a team to dig deep and in contrast McCourt is one of luxury.

we were probably looking for creativity but Lennon dug in his heels and stuck with grit. i think it worked out well considering we are now sitting top of the league.

 

There seems to be something going on behind the scenes with Paddy for sure, whether that's a disagreement or management concern about his attitude or professionalism I don't know.

All I know is that Paddy has rarely let us down compared to loads of others in the squad, and that's with only being used sparingly as a late sub. Even this season when he's hardly had a sniff he still set up a vital winner at Fir Park when we were still miles behind.

It's clear he should move if he gets the chance as Lennon doesn't want to play him and we're unlikely to be seeing a change of manager soon.

Hammy I'm sorry if my last post was puerile but I still think you go out of your way to slag McCourt. Also, could you change your avatar it's like constantly looking at a hun.

 

or could it not be that he isn't good enough or none of the players in front of him in the queue are better players or deserve not to be dropped?

to suggest it's something behind the scene is covering up fatalities in McCourt's game.

Glad he stayed until end of season at least and hope if he does leave its with three winners medals and we dont have to listen to his haters criticise him for nothing anymore.PMFA
