how much has been offered for him?
i'd keep him unless we were offered over 1.5m for him, i'd rather send him on loan to a championship team, hope he scores a few wonder goals and watch his value & confidence soar

keep it in perspective this was against the faroe islands. However paddy has shown time and time again that he can offer something different. A player that will run at defences and play direct football opening up the space for other players and is also capable of making a killer pass. I think it is worth keeping him and seeing what he can do. If we get a replacement or change our style then thats when we should consider ditching him.

We may need him at some point the same we need a target man just now

He played well at Ibrox last season. Best result we've had there in years as well.

paddy might lose the ball more than others but he also offers more with his attack minded approach. take the aberdeen game.Celtic were just happy enough to play the plain pass from side to side in that game.the same square pass time and time again..so ineffective. where as if paddy was he would try creating a goal straight from the off with beating men or trying to thread a ball through the defence instead of this * square passing thats been done

Paddy has some fantastic skill but he will not make it as a regular at Celtic as his all round game is lacking. Anything over £1.5m i would take.

How many times did he do this last season. At least 3 times and considering the lack of games he got that is a good return.

I was talking about someone who can take the full game by the scruff of the neck and carry the team through.

    Paddy isn't capable of that.

I think what some people are getting confused with is, what is good for celtic. That is all that really matters. Paddy will not help take celtic up a notch overall. So he should go along with the other dead wood.

If a player is not giving the manager a selection dilema then he should move on and find a team where he can do that. :50:

I like his skills on the ball, but he has had time to prove himself and it looks like he will be no more than an impact/cult player for us here. Not that there's much wrong with that. However, if we do want to sell him, now is the best time. He has just scored 2 nice goals at international level, just as clubs start getting desperate to sign someone. We could push for a couple of million if we were lucky and invest that somewhere we really need it: GK, CB and ST.

Wouldn't mind keeping Paddy but if we're offered a million or more then I'd have to say gOOdbye. I much prefer Samaras off the bench to Paddy, especially against the bigger teams.

Paddy 'ten brave men' McCourt does get more leeway of a lot of Celtic fans.
