I see he was on the bench on Saturday ahead of Mizuno and Caddis, and in the squad list too last night ahead of both. Must be doing well in the bounce matches recently. Would love to see him either get a chance in the next week or so or go out on loan for a few months.

Larsson had played in the semi-finals of a World Cup and had played in a European Final with Feyenoord.

Lubo was one of his country's most capped players.

Unfortunately, I dont think that has much to do with McCourts footballing ability.

i have been told by an avid follower of Derry City, that one week McCourt can look like a world beater, the next he's annonymouse. Wether that is to do with fitness age or ability, I dont know.

He will get his chance at some point, but he has to produce as soon as he gets it.

It's his fitness from what I can see, he's still struggling visibly in the reserves to last the duration.

Those still saying he's * and not worth the gamble haven't been watching the reserve matches, there's been a couple of highlight reel moments already; one last week when he jinked past 4 defenders in the box with the drop of a shoulder and another a backheeled through ball to Hutchinson a few weeks back.

We have no idea what went on behind the scenes.

Behind what scenes? He likes a drink and a fight and he moved to Campsie where he thought he'd get peace and quiet, clever guy. Or am I making that up? Or even using one of my numerous sources?

Also, you've posted the same comment twice in this thread and picked up on a point I made at the start of December, are you losing your marbles?

I'd be grateful if you didn't insult me. As a moderator you are supposed to set an example.:50:

'He moved to Campsie' - how does that say he is a waster ?

Fact is we don't know what the issues were, but you presume the reason is one that suits your agenda.

I insulted you? Are you sure I didn't just point out a couple facts and you've took the hump?

He moved to a dump of a place and his house was raided numerous times, I never said it made him a waster I said it made him a 'clever guy'. He is a waster because he's barred from every club in Edinburgh for his behaviour when he is drunk, takes some going that.

Anyway 'as a moderator' I must now say, you've taken this off topic could you please get back on it.

Have use seen this guy in the reserve s said he has the odd moment of brilliance (v aberdeen) but when i say odd i mean odd. He is often anonomous and thats playing with our B team never mind the first team.
A doubt he will break through as he is older than mcgeady and about ages with maloney. Also players like paul caddis playing on opposite wing, mizuno in reserves and on his one real game in spl (against falkirk) looked better with his pace and ability to cross the ball with either foot. (the huns game the park was a joke couldnt dribble without ball getting caught up.)
I dont know about mcginn i have heard he has pace but am yet to see him playing so cannot pass judgement on him.
I believe Paddy Mccourt will never break into the first team in my eyes too many players of similar or younger ages at the club playing better than he is, also he always seems to be injured.

Yes you insulted me, I am fairly sure you know that. I would appreciate it if you didn't.:50:

I don't think you did state facts. You gave your opinion. For example I'd be very surprised if he was barred from EVERY club in Edinburgh. But you know this for a fact.

I think it is highly unfair to be critical of Paddy McCourt. Celtic took a tiny gamble on a player who would probably not make it - there should be no shock or annoyance that he is not yet making it therefore.

Well perhaps you could explain to me why people were actually challenging me when I said Gravesen's basic was higher than Larsson's if it was in every * paper ?

No, genuinely, I did not intentionally insult you and reading back what i wrote I'm still fairly perplexed at the accusation.

I did state facts Martin, I won't thank you for the patronising manner in which you just addressed me but anyway, fill your boots...
