    Alot of you are being unfair on him.

    The guy offers us something that most teams can only wish of having and when you consider that he's probably one of the lowest paid players at Celtic, it's hardly a great deal off the budget it when you consider what he provides.

    Personally, I get FAR more excited when I see his name on the subs list and even more delerious when I see he's in the starting line up.

    My favourite player, for sure, for sure. :50:

    I really like him. With Lennon's pre-season 4-2-3-1 experimentation it seems a formation tailor-made to get the best from Paddy. I.e. in the Ozil / free-attacking role.

    His dribbling is superb, drifting in from the left to score on his right. He's shown really good cross field passing and has that look about him that he can do something special.

    But question marks are constantly hanging over his fitness and his tendency to drift in and out of games. It's down to him to maintain a fitness level of playing 90 minutes, once to twice a week and if he can do that he can be instrumental for us.

    The 4-2-3-1 also suits Samaras on that left channel.

    Waste of a contract imo. We should let him go and find his level coz it is not at Celtic. Never fit enough and 3-4 glimpses of good football in 2 years does not merit a new contract. He is 26 not 16 so he only has himself to blame for fritttering away what could have been a very lucrative career as we do know he has the talent, jsut doesn't apply it often enough.
    And I said this in the other paddy thread is that if he's offered a contract then why not other players who ahve played more and contributed more to the team?

    Bang on, mate. I hope we carry on this formation and "free roaming Paddy" mentality into the coming season.

    If Paddy has a free role, I'd imagine he wouldn't be expected to track back thus meaning he can concentrate all his energy levels in attacking...

    paddy will accept the deal he loves it at celtic when he comes home to derry he has notthing but praise celtic , paddy is most likely the lowest paid first team player , yet in some quarters on here paddy is heavy drinker , heavy smoker, party animal, yet since he has arrived at celtic he has not been one bit of trouble. paddy has a young family and just wants to play for his beloved celtic, hope this is his year and we all see just a humble man live out his dream;so lets support him instead of knocking him.

    catch yourself on mate!!HE CAME ON WITH 25 MINS TO GO AND THE TEAM HAD ALREADY CONCEDED.what about the other guys who were on that pitch that day.remember st johnston game!we didnt look like breaking down the defence until paddy came on and changed the game.he needs more games,he was fit for most of last season but wasnt used enough due to a manager who hadnt a clue!

    Derry News reporting today he has contract offers on the table from 6 clubs, EPL, Championship and SPL. Think he'll stay though.All he needs is for the manager to tell him he'll get a run in the side.
