You accuse me of Pat McCourt bias? Have some dignity and cure your clearly anti McCourt problem.Amazing tonight but still you must get your little digs in. Football fan? Don't make me laugh. Yes it was against the Faroes, but he was easily the best player on display on a field which had Evans,Hughes,Davis,Baird, all proven premiership players... Any insults you will clearly throw back at me will be summararily disregarded as the rantings of a clueless idiot.I'm assuming the 89 makes you 22 years of age. You can tell....

2nd goal is superb but think people need to calm down a bit, there's only so many times he can pull of things like this. Still not a Celtic starter for me but well done tonight Paddy :50:

try using full stops. i have given credit. i thought his second goal was good. defence was poor but great finish. i have nothing to prove to you.

pinch of salt with your post again as it is regarding your beloved McCourt.

i'm not anti-McCourt. i'm not anti any player that dons the hoops (even Samaras). i think i'm fairly balanced in regards to players. i have my favourites like everyone else but will criticise them when i see fit. i pay a part of their wages after all.

fair play to McCourt. he had a great game. would i have him starting at the weekend? would i *.

if i was anti-McCourt, would i not want him out the club? i don't care if he stays or goes, it all depends on the fee. i just don't want him starting more games than what he did last season.

lol 'clueless idiot' have a word with yourself and get a grip ffs.

So who are your favourites and what makes them more worthy of starting than Paddy? What can they do that he can't? You can leave out the "he can't do 90 mins" as he did tonight.

my favourites at the club since you asked; Izaguirre, Maloney, Commons, Ledley, Kayal, Ki, Forrest, Brown, Hooper and i've got a wee soft spot for Mulgrew.

did i say anywhere my favourites deserve a spot over McCourt? no. i have perspective. i know Maloney atm is below him in the pecking order. just because i like him, i won't let that cloud my judgement, like many McCourt lovers.

Ki, Ledley, Brown, Kayal and even Mulgrew are all in front of McCourt in the pecking order in the middle. on the wings, McCourt is below Forrest, Brown Commons and even Mulgrew again.

they are all better team players. they can all track back. they are all better complete footballers than McCourt is. McCourt is a luxury player or a bench player. Lennon, Strachan and Mowbray haven't viewed him as a first team regular for a reason.

i want to irritate, i'm not anti-McCourt. i don't want to force him out the club and i think he's a good option to have on the bench. i just don't view him as a first team regular as he doesn't start. ever.

The main reason that the aforementioned guys slot into those positions "ahead" of Mc Court is that they are orthodox type footballers which Paddy isn't. He would be more effective in a free role, maybe behind the front two, in a different system, not necessarily 4 4 2. In my opinion, he's not really a winger.

Regarding the opinions of those 3 managers, I never rated Strachan, he had success at a time when Rangers were poor and talked an awful lot of * at times, no need to elaborate on Mowbray. Lennon- i have time for but he still has a lot to prove as a manager and hasn't won much yet.

can we really afford a luxury player then if it means we sacrifice the structure of the team? i would answer no. we'd have to change formation and lose players just to accommodate him, something i cannot agree with as he isn't worth it.

you don't rate Strachan because Rangers were poor. he is the only manager in our history to get us to the last 16 in the CL...twice. i rate all their opinions and it would be disrespectful and naive not to. they didn't and don't view him as a regular. neither do i.

Maybe the team structure needs a shake up, it's hardly setting the SPL on fire. Celtic were always an attack minded club.

Granted, Strachan had some success and perhaps my comments on him could be deemed disrespectful but i'm not naive, i've seen enough and heard enough from him to stick to my opinion. He was a better player than a manager. Never liked the way he was petulant with the media, touch of the Alex Fergusons about him, albeit without the results over many years.

hey, it's all trivial isn't it? it's just our opinions. i wouldn't change the formation.

Strachan didn't like the media so he never made that great a connection to the fans as a result as they are the gateway to us. personally, i don't care what he said in his time in charge, i care about results. he certainly delivered.

McCourt had 5 appearances under Strachan. by all accounts, Lennon likes him. not enough for a starting place, mind.

as i replied to you in another thread, McCourt is the best dribbler at the club, but his other attributes bring him down to a bench player.

What a bench then! Watching that Aberdeen game, the Celtic regulars were SO ordinary looking and Aberdeen are no great shakes either, the game was crying out for Paddy. Luckily Stokes got the goal but Lennon was very late to consider making the change.

McCourt has proved a few times that he can last for 90 minutes. He should play more often. Why let such a dangerous player rot on the bench?

mc court is an amazing player and celtic have to get him into the team, he has everything vision ,first class passing and dribbling skills, can skin multiple players for fun and a fantastic finisher
i can only suggest people who are critical of him take up watching athletics as the only thing they can complain about is he doesnt run about as much as they would like (which incidently is bullshit as he does as much chasing back as any of the wingers),
or being greedy ,* that he creates pleanty of chances for others, instead of finding a system to include one of your most talented players he is thrown on with 15 minutes to go when team and manager have ran out of ideas to conjure up a piece of magic, and people accuse him of being greedy when he is trying to make something happen??? fourth top scorer last season, scoring from midfield from the limited time he was given to play ,i dont feel sorry for him anymore im angry that donkeys like samaras ,maloney get more time than him
