When I saw him in Seattle it was shocking how little running he does when he doesn't have the ball. I know it was a friendly but everyone on both teams was at least making an effort.

just cos he's as fit as he'll ever get doesn't mean he's fit enough to play pro. and not for celtic either.

hope he gets a chance this year though

Paddys is 10x the player Maloney, McGinn or any other winger is. And only noticed there he is 26? Always though he was older than that. I think he made some good points in that article but i remember a few times last year when he did play from the start for the 90 and at times he did look quite tired to be fair to Lenny. I want him in from the start tomorrow though.

Paddy sounds fairly * off going by that article.

Hope he can channel it into something positive. Starting tomorrow.:50:

His problem is that he doesn't work when he doesn't have the ball. He may be as fit as he has ever been but that doesn't mean he is fit enough for what he needs to do in our team. He has to be fit enough go attack and dfend which he doesn't do just now. He gos forward but when a move breaks down he ambles back.

I think we can afford the luxury of not needing McCourt to track back.

Ah bollocks. :icon_mrgreen: McCourt is quality, that's obvious to anyone with eyes.

I didn't see anything today that persuaded me he has a fitness problem - and even if he did, a half-fit Paddy McCourt is still twice the player a fully fit Scott Brown is.

In fact, a half-dead Paddy McCourt woukd be twice the player Scott Brown is. :56:

McCourt in a moment of magic is more effective than McGeady in the same situation.

paddy fit or not is some talent and in my eyes is why we watch celtic for a player like him to take the ball and do what he does * all that tracking back * we have players in the team for that just let the guy PLAY what do we want a team of 11 robots doing what they are told no its good sometimes to just leave a player to break loose :shamrock:

Paddy makes stuff happen. He's a player who will win you games. That's all that matters to me.
