Clyde 1 said Lawell has offered him the job and is working on a compensation package with burnley. Didnt say if coyle had said yes or no though

OWEN COYLE was today weighing up his future after a meeting with Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell.
SportTimes understands discussions between the pair took place at a hotel in London's Mayfair on Monday night.
The Parkhead board are desperate to land the highly rated manager and will now approach Burnley to officially open talks to take the 42-year-old to Celtic Park.
Coyle is thought to be torn between having a crack at the Premiership after winning promotion and taking up what he feels is a once in a lifetime' opportunity at the club he supported as a boy.

bilic's agent will be here at the weekend (playing in the tb game)

    Un * believable.

One of the most sought after, most promising managers in Europe wants to come to us. Someone who the fans want.

And we go for Owen Coyle.

As above. One good (admittedly extremely good) season as a manager and all of a sudden he's being hailed as a managerial genius.

You cannot even begin to compare the pressure of managing Celtic with that of Burnley. It would be far too early for Owen Coyle.

that pudding coyle had done nothing other than fail to get St Johnstone promoted only 18 months ago. So, he has had one good season in the championship???FFS his playing and management CV is toilet paper compared to WGS or MON's. Ticks what boxes??? Never played for Celtic, * player, complete novice manager with one full season above Scottish 1st division level in the English championship. One good season.

If you take the one season away, he has had a very limited career as a player and manager. How can someone who has neither played or managed a team in the top leagues in any country or had a smiff of Europe manage our club. This is a promise-if the board sign him or McGhee or the likes of Peter Grant I am done. People grumble about WGS but like MON at least he had taken EPL teams to mid table and got to cup finals. This guy is a nobody who has have a good season. Prior to it he was with St. Johnstpone FFS. Its a * insult to the fans and those who are delighted because he is a Celtic supporter are wastes of a good seat.
