Can someone explain what makes Bilic more experienced than say Keane, Mowbray or Coyle? I cant see why people keep wanting him. What has he done?

Thank * someone on my wave length. Im sure if we had the whole Croatian National team we would be fine. But Im sorry a totally unproven manager in my opinion and I could not trust him in the transfer market as he has never ever ever ever signed a player.

He has the Croatian National team. They have always been a very good team no matter who was in charge.

I dont think he has the credentials to be a Celtic manager. He would also command huge wages.

I would prefer us to be realistc in who we want as manager.

I just get a really bad feeling that its gonna be mcghee and I dont think I will be back if it is.

Mibbe not have the credentials but some of the others that are metioned dont either. Lets be honest, Billic hasnt even been mentioned.

I just think if we did go for him it would show that the board has ambition. Right now I'm worried sick it will be Mark McGhee. Who would he bring in....stephen hughes?

CELTIC are expected to approach Burnley today for permission to speak to Owen Coyle.

    ---

Celtic are making an official approach for Burnley boss Owen Coyle after Gordon Strachan quit - and pals say he is leaning towards leaving the Premier League new boys for his boyhood heroes.
The Glasgow giants want permission to speak to Coyle before he goes on a family break later this week and they hope to see him today.
Coyle pledged his future to Burnley after their Wembley triumph but Celtic would treble his current salary.

You're not alone in your opinion. I'm very wary of all this Bilic hype myself. Yes Croatia have a good national side but managing a national side and a club side are two completely different animals and I can't see anything that makes me want Bilic as Celtic manager to be honest.

Maybe people want him because he's another one that jumps around the touchline like a maniac. Passion is there but ability should be paramount.

Im thinking with his knowledge of the Croatian team that he could bring in a few talented Croatians. Would be awesome :icon_mrgreen:

Certainly while David Moyes would be my number one choice Owen Coyle could be a good choice. You have to give him all the credit in the world for doing such a fantastic job at Burnley.

On the downside if it is Coyle that looks to me the board making it clear that he will operate on a minimal budget just like Strachan which doesn't bode well for there to be an ungrade on the current squad.

Mate, unfortunately they don't give out work permits * nilly anymore. The players have to be proven internationalists which means IF they wanted a move here they'd want silly money also.

With our track record forgive me a few moments of pessimism on that front :50:
