No, It doesn't, because he is first class. Their is no doubt about it. It bemuses me when people cant see it.

You don't displace Yaya Toure and go on to be a key player for the best team in the world without being first class. You also don't waltz into the starting 11 of the European champions and the best National side in donkeys without being first class either. * *. Bet if you told the likes of Alex Ferguson, Guardiola, Villanova, even Mourinho, that Busquets wasn't first class, they'd laugh in your face!

 

I'll add Cahill, Terry and Ribery to my line-up too. Johnson will probably slot in at right back ..

I must admit, part of the reason is that I dislike him because of his pathetic and embarrassing diving. I think he shames the sport in a similar way to Drogba. But Drogba I can kinda live with, because he doesn't play for a team I like...

Yeah fair enough, that part of his game annoys the crap out of me. But it doesn't blur my image of him as a footballer.

As much as I want to hate him for the playacting. I just love the way he plays football, joy to watch.

I think I see a pattern emerging here, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

 

Busquets doesn't blatantly dive every week. He may milk a foul every now and then but there isn't many players that don't.

The part in bold is just embarrassing. Lampard is one of the best midfielders to have played in modern times. 190 goals for Chelsea with 130 assists, scored double figures in the EPL for 10 seasons running or something (name a striker who can beat that please) and is about to be Chelsea's all time scorer. About 47 of his goals are penalties which is only around 25% of all his goals. Also I don't understand why it is a negative that he has scored a lot of penalties - they are meant to be scored and it isn't exactly easy - look at Celtic... He has won the EPl a number of times, the F.A. Cup, the Charity Shield and, the biggest of them all, the Champions League. Everytime he has been a stalwart, even last year at the age of 33

Anyone that thinks Lampard is overrated is either biased, don't have a clue about football or just plain daft.

 

Not anymore than a anyone else really. Even if he's been hacked and he goes down * like Gerry Armstrong can't wait to give it the usual 'up to his old tricks' pish.

 

haha can't believe people saying that they would have busquets in the team he is a extremely underrated first class player.

 

Glen Johnson is the main one from England for me. Although there are many over rated players from England I don't know how anyone can say Rooney is. People like Carroll, Downing, Henderson, Cahill, Lescott etc are mediocre but have been victims of huge transfer fees which therefore heighten expectation. As for Lampard and Gerrard they are well past their peak but are still quality footballers. They produced top performances in the CL for many years so are rightly classed as very good players.

Elsewhere, I think Victor Valdes is the most over rated keeper I've ever seen. Perhaps it's just me, but more often than not Barca have about 65% of the ball, yet any time Valdes is under any pressure at all he seems to make mistakes.
Sergio Ramos is another. He's been carried by others in the national team and has been found out numerous times in big games with Real Madrid.
Thomas Vermaelan seems to be rated highly as well but other than a decent first season in England he's been very poor.

 

Really? like him myself.

Think someone already said it but there's nothing more over rated than that piece of * England team.

 

David Templeton. He is our version of Theo Walcott. Overrated plus plays for a pish lower league team.
