First off the only player who can play that role with any sort of real quality is Rogic.

Sinclair is much better out wide so is Roberts. The rest have not done it for me plus big Olivier has not and is much better playing deeper.

I'm looking at the bigger picture where we can improve and push in in Europe.

A confident, commanding goalkeeper is a must for such a young defence. At times it is Simunovic guiding the back line through games which shouldn't be happening at the age of 23.

Gordon will cost us in the bigger games, but even domestically he has been at fault for the only goals we've conceded this season so far.

I disagree, Armstrong and mcgregor both played that role last year quite frequently and scored a number of goals as a result

I would have said CB, But I have not been impressed with Gordon of late.

I went for right-back, Rodgers doesn't seem to like Gamboa, Lustig is probably the weakest player in the starting XI and Ralston is only 18 and quite average the now. All other positions when players are fit are stronger and probably only left-back has less depth but Tierney is a lot better than Lustig.

When all our CB's are fit the GK position is by far the weakest.

McGregor scored a total of 7 goals and not all from a No.10 role

Armstrong scored a total of 17 goals again not all from the No.10 role.

Domesticly they are fine but not for Europe and that's my point.

Both of them could not break into the side at the moment. And like ive said before im always looking to see what we can improve on because that's the only way we can get better.

If everyone is fit and available, then the Centre-Backs and Goalkeeper would give me most concern.

In terms of cover, if the first choice isn't available, then it would be Left-Back where the drop in ability from KT to erm ...... erm ....... whoever is next in line would be frightening; probably Miller, or maybe even Rogic or McGregor playing out of position because they have a left foot.

Obviously we can improve on every position, but the question was which areas are the weakest and it's certainly not in the attacking midfield role. Bigger priorities are gk, cb, rb, lb, striker

I would agree with RB. Lustig is 30 now and slowing.
We are very weak at RB.

Agree, still a good player but for a good 18 months he has been too easily beaten defensively against anyone with pace. Neymar will absolutley slaughter him and theres nothing we can do about it. Im not sure who Anderlecht have on the left but if it's a guy with pace so will he and Bayern will have Alaba and Ribery overlapping against him.

Lustig will have Neymar in his back pocket lads. No worries.

My main worries are injuries. Positions in which there are no tried and tested back ups in Europe are: Lb, Rb and Left wing. But I really don't think we'll see any additions this window in those positions. Hayes has been brought in to deputize the Left wing. We have two back ups at right back (Ralston and Gamboa) but neither are tested. And I just don't see a left back coming in.

Weakest position overall in starting 11 is Centre back.

I've stated this numerous times what we need to address right away, please feel free to look back at my.posts.

You clearly highlighted a particular post and we are debating it.

Yes we need other positions filled but we also need to look at the picture as a whole and we do need that extra bit of quality for Europe which both of them players don't have what it takes to play the number 10 role and we both know it.

    We need a new keeper,
As it is Gordon gets away with being average in the leauge because as a team we are so far ahead of the rest.
However when we play in Europe and he is more exposed and tested i believe he will not be up to the required standard and he will at some stage be the reason why we drop points in Europe.

I disagree, I think Armstrong 100% has the quality to be successful in Europe

Not as a number 10, maybe replacing Brown but not as a number 10.
