    Yep

Pretty much this for me :50:

I have no problem with the political view's expressed by the GB and will continue to have support for them to show the sheer hypocrisy that is in place in this country.

These songs/views have been a part of Celtic way before I was born and hopefully they continue long after I'm gone.

These political views are part of the make up of Celtic football club, it seems some fan these days have had no idea and it's all a big secret that they have just been let in to.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Take away the Irish Republicanism and we become this :

I don't get why some Celtic fans would prefer that. Thankfully for now they are only an internet phenomenon.

I am not Irish so no I do not care for the IRA regardless of what versions of the IRA there has been.

Not sure what acceptable means in this situation, do I think the song is offensive? No, I don't find songs offensive. Do I think it's acceptable as in it is acceptable to be singing a song about the IRA at a football game? No, just like I don't think songs should be sung about the British army.

I don't think people need to start chillng out when rights are being broken and political displays are being deemed illicit.

I really couldn't care less what you or others think of me.

I'm not here to win a popularity contest.

Is it acceptable for Flower of Scotland to be sung at football matches?

Am I right to insinuate that by that context.... you support the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012?

id give it until maybe next month before this is all forgotten about

its the usual with this site you log on one day and a player is a hero, the next day 'we' all never rated him - hard to give an opinion when everyone else just dismisses it

"Lawwells a great businessman striking up a partnership with Chinese tv and the SFA", now today "hes a * because he wont let us sing the rebs"

i said earlier he hardly has a choice on what he has to say and i think it went unnoticed because it contained some logic in it

I would doubt anyone does support it, that attends football.
However the Club has no choice here, as has been posted , we play in THEIR competition and its THEIR rules our Club has to abide by, when we enter their competition. So the only other option is to withdraw from Europe, is that what people want ?

So it is alright for Scottish to sing about fighting the English but not the Irish. Would you rather Celtic denounced all things Irish and made Celtic a Scottish club for Scottish people? If this is the case you may find Celtic lose alot of its support worldwide and end up as big as Hibs. You may not like it but Celtics Irish identity is the reason a large percentage of Celtics fans support the club.
