    I think the general fascination with this thread is due to the fact that it is a genuinely terrible idea that 999 games out of 1000 would achieve nothing more than making us a laughing stock, yet by sheer coincidence (presumably because * likes a joke as much as the next person) it actually might have made a difference in theJuve game. It's hard to know whether to laugh or cry.

    On balance I actually wish we'd tried it. It's ridiculous, but trying it can't have been any worse than what actually happened. Not saying we should resurrect the idea, though: it's a stupid idea and in any normal game wouldn't achieve anything except to embarrass us. That Juve game wasn't normal.

    Just once, I hope this happens. The sheer madness of it would be hilarious. Kick off. (Silence) team X attack (silence) ball gets knocked in to the box.......MISS YA *!!! Or BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! (A scary boo. Not booooo yer *).

    For comedy value alone it would be good.
