Olivier Ntcham

Discussion in 'Ex Players' started by Norm Peterson, Jul 12, 2017.

  1. Never used to be like that before Gerry.

  2. people expect a lot of signings to come in and be * hot right away, and if they have a few bad games early on,they say hes * etc.players need time to develop especially at his age.

  3. well done on the goal ntcham.

  4. He was very poor and a yard off the pace until he scored, then burst into life and looked a lot better.

  5. Maybe he has.

  6. He's good for spells during games, just needs to find a bit of consistency and impose himself for longer...

It will come, he's only 21..

  7. We (and he) need to work out how he works with his midfield partner. If it’s going to be him and Brown there needs to be a structure they play within which gets the best out of both.

Noticed it again yesterday that he tends to go into his shell a wee bit when his partner is the one dropping deep and getting on the ball.

In saying that, just like in Anderlecht, he starts poorly then makes a match winning contribution. Very encouraging for a young guy.

  8. 4 mil and aged 21, he was never gonna be the finished article, i like him and think he will be a major player for us this season.

  9. Genuinely think he'll turn out to be superb but people need to give him time to develop. There's absolutely no way he can be the finished article at 21.

Think him and Brown is a slight issue. Brown likes to take the ball off the back 4 which Ntcham likes to do as well. Think Ntcham feels/looks like a supporting act at times because of that

  10. Yeah, I definitely think we've been a little too over expecting with Ntcham because of his price tag. There's a player there that can be developed for sure. At 21 he's still got a lot of time to get better.

  11. Strange one this at times he runs the game then other times he can't play a 3 yard pass it will come just to be patient I suppose start him against Bayern or bring him on that's the question

  12. I'd leave him out of the starting line up for the Bayern game. His passing v Anderlecht was woeful at times especially in the first half. Don't think we can take the chance on him for this game.

Yet he is capable of delivering that killer pass, so it is a bit of a dilemma.

You can see his obvious ability just needs to work on playing the percentage/easy pass and know when to take on the more difficult defence splitting ball.

It will come with experience, 60min sub tomorrow to help protect our lead.

  13. * rotten. Not only one but in particular he's stood out as bottling it. Armstrong constantly demands ball, he doesn't

  14. Needs dropped, has been in poor form for a while..

All 3 CL games he has been a standout for being so poor.

  15. Very poor tonight. Gave the ball away countless times, caught on wrong side, and at times looked out his depth.
