He won't have a good career. Showed glimpses of quality but ridiculously inconsistent and an awful attitude to boot.

    No loss whatsoever.

It is probably like most contracts we seem to give out these days, where we have an option on the final year. I will believe it when it actually is revealed as I would have thought someone might have still paid £2m for him.

If this is true, thanks for Rome, but his time here will mostly be remembered as unfulfilled potential.

A rat of a man that has bled the club of millions while putting in zero application.

Hope his career trajectory continues to go south.

Will wait to see that confirmed, however I dare say the club will hold on to this information for as long as possible.

That's a £4million talent we are letting go, someone who the new manager may have been able to get a tune out of - at that price point it is not something you surely take lightly.

My point, surely the new manager has this final say? Along with the Klimala deal.
It doesn't tell us anything new, but reaffirms the chance that Howe is actually a done deal and he is working in the background.

Otherwise, I really need answers to why we have just let £7million worth of talent go before letting a new manager assess it all properly.

Other point - it's a weekend, so much for needing the stock market to be open on Monday mornings before Celtic do any business that may affect the share price.

I'm glad he's gone but the club need to learn to sell players when they want out. Even last summer I think we could have got £4m for him. We can moan that players should put all they can in when they are contracted but that's unfortunately not how the modern game is and for many players we are a stepping stone to bigger things.

Be surprised if we just let him go, think we can still get around 2-3 million for him.

That's why I reckon this is coming from the incoming manager.

No way the club will be writing off the £4million investment, even if it is a case that we could still have got £1million back for him.
It has to have come from the manager, surely.

Otherwise we have yet more issues.

I say this positively in the sense that the new manager is done and must surely be someone who is trusted.

Surprised if we've just let him go, you'd think we'd be able to get someone to take him even if it's for a slightly cut down fee, it's obvious he doesn't want to be here so we'll never get the best out of him but there's still a classy player in there if the right manager/environment can bring it out of him.

Glad he’s gone, and trusting the club have done the right thing, with Howe’s input.

If we’ve let him go for nothing, you’d think that means the club and/or his agent has touted him around and failed to get any interest. Hardly surprising, given his now internationally bad reputation.

Would much rather he was away than still here, at the end of the day. Can talk about the supposed potential impact of a new manager til we’re blue in the face, but I’d doubt Klopp could motivate this moody chancer tbh.
