Olivier Ntcham

Discussion in 'Ex Players' started by Norm Peterson, Jul 12, 2017.

  1. If anybody is interested in him then hopefully they come in and buy him soon .
He should command a good fee which must be ploughed back into the team to improve the team .

  2. Can you really blame him for wanting to leave? He’s been quite clearly open to it since the Porto interest, and even appeared on our leaked transfer document as someone we wouldn’t mind letting go. He’s a talented player but never really nailed on a starting role here.

Good luck to him, but for me he’s exactly the type of player we should be looking to offload if we need to sell one of our more valuable assets to rebuild. Bringing in Turnbull only reiterates that point.

If you could get £15m for him you could be looking at 2-3 high level additions to the squad. Might be the case that none of them are quite as good footballers as Ntcham, but it could easily be 2-3 that are going to contribute more to our season, which is what counts.

He has his moments of magic but is far too inconsistent even during a game, he’ll three 5 yard passes then make a defence splitting pass with ease.

Over the course of a season Christie is a better player especially in the 8 position. I’ll take £10M for him.

I like him, glad we signed him but given our options he is probably one player we could lose but wouldn't cause any real problems. We have McGregor, Christie and Turnbull who all create and score from central roles. Then you have Soro (I think he can still do well here) and Brown (not what he was but still has a job to do) in the defence role. I think he would actually be less of a loss than Rogic.

& there we have the failings with this system. Broony was never a 14. That was absolutely cruyffs number.

Will be disappointed to see him go personally as I think we havent utilised him anywhere near enough.

But I dont blame him for leaving.

Southampton are ready to make their move for Olivier Ntcham.

The English Premier League side have targeted the Celtic star as a replacement for ex-skipper Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who last month signed for Spurs.

Saints will step up their interest in Ntcham after letting Mario Lemina leave following his unsuccessful spell on England’s south coast.

Lemina has joined Fulham and now Ralph Hasenhuttl will prepare a bid for the French star who has been a target of Saints for more than one year.

Wouldn't mind seeing him go for a decent fee. Don't think he can play the 6 that well and don't see him as a replacement for Brown at all. I think Turnbull is a good 8-10 replacement, money could be spent on a left back.
