That is about players getting used to each other as well, if players know that he can and will make the pass then they will make the run more often.
His own movement off the ball was poor last night though, and he was very sloppy with some easy passes. I think he might be the one to make way for Griff next week.

I agree with that but you can't fault him for people not showing support and also brown was sitting deeper but a couple of times I seen him having to chase back n cover deep... Poor performance from the team but didn't think he was too bad in fairness

I tend to agree but that ball was played when their back 4 was 18 yards out, most of the match they were playing 16 yards out. Not much room to run and drop a ball in to, look how narrow the defence were with a mid 4 playing about 4 yards in front.

I'd have started belting 20 yarders after 70 minutes of that, get in for rebounds and deflections, nothing else was working.

Or if Rogic hadn't taken the worst touch of his career and sent it out for a goal kick

It's a good point that the few raking passes he did make were a result of having little movement up top to feed.

His ball retention and range of passes is exceptional, especially that reverse-curl pass over the top for Armstrong - which was * wankworthy.

Did he not say he's not at his best fitness wise when he got here ? You can see he's going to be a class act when he gets going. Wants to play the early pass all the time, which should work in our favour against better teams if we qualify for the group stages.

He liked using Lustig last night if only Lustig took the man on more or had more precision with his crossing.

Lustig put 2 or 3 good crosses in but there were no proper targets in the box.

He also gave away the ball n slowed the attack by passing it back 6/7 times

He did this because there was nothing in the box though. Lustig had a terrible game, no question about it, but every time he got into a crossing position he has the option of punting it aimlessly into the box, or stopping and knocking a ball back to the midfield. Rosenborg were then happy to allow him the space as they knew he could do little with it.

Not much of a good cross then if it didn't go to anybody or suit our style of play.

Can still be a good cross even if there's no * there to meet it.

Point in giving it out to the wing is to make chances from there. All he had to do was take a touch and cross it, rogic in there. It would put the pressure on but I just thought he was wasteful but yeah so wer most the team
