    I'd say a much stronger version of Crosas with a hint of Wanyama in terms of confidence to hit a ball outside the box.

    Really excited about this guy, like you touched upon, his ball retention is incredible - Never misplaced a pass.

    Zinedine Zidane insists Parkhead is the perfect place for playmaker Olivier Ntcham to kick on and become a top class star.

    Former France superstar and Real Madrid boss Zidane has been keeping tabs on his fellow countryman after the 21-year-old midfield ace made a £4m move from Man City to Celtictwo weeks ago.

    Ntcham struggled to make the breakthrough at the Etihad but got rave reviews during his two seasons on loan in Serie A with Genoa.

    Zidane has closely watched France under-21 man Moussa Dembele emerge as one of the hottest properties in Europe on the back of his form for the Hoops in Scotland and in the Champions League.

    The hitman is now on the radar of some of the biggest clubs on the continent with Chelsea, Man United - and now Arsenal monitoring his situation with Celts.

    The Bernabeu boss believes Ntcham can have a similar impact and eventually star at the highest level.


    The schemer is short of match fitness but made an impressive debut in Celtic’s friendly defeat to Lyon last weekend and followed it up with a good display against Linfield in the Champions League qualifier on Wednesday.

    Former World Cup winner and French superstar Zidane is convinced the ex-City kid has made the correct career choice coming to Scotland.

    He said: “The most important thing for a player of that age is to be playing regularly - and if you can be playing regularly for a club that is in the Champions League, then that is even better because you can test yourself at the very top level.

    “It is very difficult to break into a club like Manchester City as a young player - as there is so much pressure on the clubs for instant success.

    “Celtic is the perfect club for him to mature and grow as a player - I am sure he looked at the season Dembele had and that is something he wants to replicate.”

    Was there at any point at all that Zidane would have been involved or aleast around the unders French national team coaching set up?

    Could then. Are sense why he comments on promising French players when they get moves to clubs like ours as perhaps he's trained them in some capacity?

    Love the fact that Zidane has addedd comments about Ntcham after previous support for Dembele staying at Celtic Park. Must be somethng in this for the "scouts" to follow up, more than happy if we end up with a string of French under 21 internationals, only a matter of time before others see it as a "good options"

    Obviously will help if Ntcham sets the league on fire, and I beleive he will

    Zidane is one of my footballing idols and looks like he's going to have some career in management, so any praise from him is music to my ears:notworthy

    Big mans technically on another level, like Paddy last year, some of the passes hes been pulling off have been unreal.
