i think the young guy is a cracking passer of the ball.Armstrong is a strong runner with the ball hey if we can have both cool different things for different opposition makes us even stronger. But if armstrong is leaving good guy to have in there thats all im saying drunkenly at that.

BR on new Bhoys: "@OlivierNtcham came in & we were trying to get him game-time. You can see his qualities

BR: "Once he gets up to speed and gets those relationships with the players he is playing with, he's going to be great asset."

Moussa Dembele has insisted that he cannot wait to form a Celtic partnership with Olivier Ntcham.

The 21-year-old made his competitive debut in last night’s 4-0 win over Linfield as the Hoops set up a Champions League third round qualifier with Rosenborg.

Ntcham was involved in three of the goals and Dembele believes that he will make a significant impact at Celtic this season.

“You can expect him to make runs, he has good vision,” the striker told Celtic TV. “He is a midfielder who loves to have the ball and play a pass that no-one thinks he can play. He is skilful and we can expect goals from him as well. He has got everything in his locker and it is up to him to come here to work and improve. I am 100% sure that he will improve and we will see the best of him this season.

“We have a very good relationship. Even when he was in Italy we would call each other once a week and ask how are you and to see how the football was going. We are close friends, sometimes I would say he is my brother. We are very close and I am happy to see him here.

“I am 100% if we are both on the pitch we will be a good partnership. He understands me, I understand him. It is not just on the pitch, it is off the pitch too that we are very close and I can’t wait to play with him.”

Meanwhile, Demebele has insisted that there is still more to come from him at Celtic after an impressive debut campaign last year. The striker netted 32 goals and has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer, but he has insisted that he remains focussed on an incessant quest for improvement at Celtic.

“I can do better,” he said. “This season is another season. Last season is past and I want to give 100% every time I go onto the pitch.

“I don’t put myself under pressure. It is a game and I love playing football.

“You can’t have a day off. You want to improve and get better. We all come and give our best to improve as a team and as individuals and that is the most important thing for me as a young player.”

Ntcham himself was satisfied at getting his first competitive game out the way but has maintained that there will be more to come once he gets settled into the club.

“It was my first competitive game and we won 4-0, so I am happy,” he said. “I am not yet 100 per cent fit, but I am getting better every day. Every game will help me.

“I’ve settled in well here. The squad is training together every day so it is easy for me to get to know them and them to get to know me.

“It was a good atmosphere inside the stadium. For me, it was maybe the first time I have seen a lot of people like that, because it wasn’t like this in Italy.

“I enjoy the way this team plays. I already played this way when I worked under Patrick Vieira at Manchester City. I know this style of football. The way the manager here wants to play is very similar to what I experienced at City in terms of the system and style.”

Good game, liked how Sinclair was linking up with him as he was coming into the box in the first half.

Had a nice long pass to Forrest also.

Level of composure on the ball above what we've been used to, also ball retention is ridiculous.

We've still to see the creativity but at the moment I don't think he's misplaced a pass yet? Very early days but the early signs are good, he looks a player.

Wanyama comparisons are miles and miles off the mark. The colour of their skin is the closest attribute. For me I kept thinking a powerful version of Crosas, someone who is always looking to be the midfield pivot and keep the ball moving.

The guy takes risks with his passes, he will probably frustrate at times when they aren't coming off but he seems exactly what we need to find that killer pass in the final third and break down opposition defences.

    Played well.

Was always looking for that little surprise pass and seemed to have pretty good awareness of where people were on the pitch.

Thought he looked decent. Not going to get to carried away, he has been in a week and that's his first 60 minutes for us competitively. He did ok overall. Armstrong should still be starting ahead of him in my opinion, for the time being anyways.

Very good, but in what formation?

    Gordon
    Boyata - Jozo - Tierney
    Brown
    Forrest - Ntcham - Armstrong - Sinclair
    Rogic
    Dembele

    ?
The problem with having that midfield quartet is that it requires a change of tactics, in which KT is out of his natural position, where he is very effective.

It's not something I could see being used in bigger Euro games, unless KT played the WB/LM role, Sinclair switched to the right and Erik went into the back 3.
