Really? Using Hooper as an example, I can think of loads of times when clubs brought players from their own leagues in and failed. Carroll and Benteke to Liverpool, Torres to Chelsea and I am sure there are plenty more

After leaving Scotland suddenly VVD became the most expensive defender in the world. He was "overrated" in Scotland.

I did laugh at some of the comments after Aberdeen v Burnley. Two players rated at £20m+ defenders were battered by a free transfer with a handful of games.

On the Aberdeen topic they had Maddison and Ward on loan recently. Both decent players in the Scottish league, but nothing special. Suddenly both move to the Premier League and one is worth £13m and the other a £25m.

If Maddison is worth £25m then don't even ask the value of Ntcham.

Ntcham is one of these in my opinion who is clearly going to be so good in this league and stand out so much that sadly we are going to really struggle to keep him come every transfer window as the offers will be big from down south, I really hate saying this but it’s the sad reality now when we develop someone like this, the improvement this season and the way he has been playing he’s nothing short of phenomenal, he was breathtaking at time against Rosenborg and I am going to enjoy watching this guy this season as I really think he will be one of the top midfielders in Europe in years to come, ideally here in Glasgow

I thought last season was bad for injuries to key players, and yet this season has barely started and we've already lost Dembele and now looking like Ntcham too.

BR on @OlivierNtcham: "He’s with the medical team so we’ll assess that see what he’s at over the next couple of days."

Hope he's fine considering he played on a 3-0 up.
