Why would he go back into a league where he will fight relegation and when they drop to the championship he will be punted to either an other also ran PL team or abroad to a lesser team

He was at City didn’t get his chance there is now plying his skills in a winning team in the champions League with two of his best mates beside him and in a year or two if he keeps improving will go to a top team in any of the top tier leagues in Europe for 40-50m

He won’t go to West Ham they aren’t ambitious enough for him he’s a winner.

His goal was brilliant but the little skill before hand to drag the defender away and make space was exceptional.

He’s a top talent, doubt he’ll ever play for France as they’re so good especially in midfield but Ntcham should make us 20 million plus in a few years.

I have no idea who he is but he falls into one of the 2 categories; money grabber or looking for a stepping stone.

We know next to nothing about Ntcham other than the fact he’s a sexy * but if he’s being advised properly his next move will be to a club competing and not to a club ran by a pair of idiots who throw bids about until something sticks with no prospect of winning anything.

    He’s a promising French Under 21 player.

I don’t disagree with you in the slightest mate, that just amused me :56:

You mean like Issa Diop? The centre half they signed this summer who's exactly what yiuyou just described. A france u21 international on a steep trajectory (Toulouse captain at tje age of 20). If Southampton can nab players from us * nilly. West Ham can too

If West Ham came in with the big bucks he would walk imo. Think those telling themselves otherwise are delusional. Hopefully he sticks around a good bit longer though.

Can't say we've ever sold a player after 1 season. Even vvd we knocked offers back for and no chance was he leaving after 1 year. Same goes here.

People need to stop trying to complicate things with regards to footballers.

They will go where the money is. If we pay Ntcham 20k a week and West Ham offer him 50k , guess where he is going to want to go? It's as simple as that. Don't give me all the usual " doesn't seem a money grabber " , "seems humble " , " grounded" pish. They are like you and me , they go to work for the money first and foremost.

He's contracted to us. Sure he will leave if we accept an offer. If we say no he isn't going. They can bang on about 100k a week all they want but he's under contract here. He's not for sale.

When the time comes for him to leave he’ll have far better options available to him than West Ham, I’m sure of that. He’s going absolutely nowhere this season.

Can totally see your point. But Dembele could have gone for a bigger pay packet before he came to us but he chose football and trophies over money. Ntcham I feel is the same. Plenty of time to make the big bucks. But for now he's at a bigger club, playing in Europe and while in football terms earning small money, in the real world 20k a week is unbelievable for a young guy to be getting.

Had a wee peep on a west ham forum there and true to form their tearing eachother over whether players from scotland can "make it".

As expected we are purveyors of mediocrity and NO player from a scottish league is good enough for the mighty "prem"

It wasnt until one discerning user posted a list of top drawer transfers from scotland including the likes of stan, henke, wanyama, robertson, vvd etc and pointed to soton's years of "pilfering" talent that they shut their * * holsters

Even then some were pointing gary hooper as an example of the inherent risks of signing a player from north of the boarder

The tories have alot to answer for the education standards down there

cannot wait for the day when that rancid midden of league goes belly up, all the sugar daddys pull their cash, sky pushes for the inevitable euro superleague and all the little turds down there are forgotten about and crawl back into their * holes
