Looking forward to seeing what BR can do with him. He’s a big lad, hopefully has him playing like Dembele when he first arrived.

 

How old is he now? Under the old rule he’s Would’ve been 2 at 7 months. Makes quite a difference at that age In football. Maybe looked a bit raw last season as he was only like 20.

 

Maybe not quite to that level but I can definitely see him doing some damage. Pretty excited about this boy.

 

As I see it, he turned 22 in April.

I dont think the rule change affects how we consider his age

 

Hope the big guy pushes on this season he's not gonna be first pick, but can get 20/30 sub appearances and starts against lower opposition, he's got the strength and skill to punish the Scottish defences

 

Can see him bustling and hustling a goal or 2 in Europe too as a sub. Him and Kyogo are such different styles it takes defences a bit to adapt/suss him out.

 

Celtic have won their battle to keep striker Oh Hyeon-gyu at the club during the Asian Games after South Korea omitted him, despite picking four players from Europe.


South Korea will field an Under 24s team in the Asian Games football tournament in China and it's viewed as a prestigious tournament in the country because their government issues exemptions from mandatory national service if they win the gold medal, although Oh has already completed his stint.

They have won the last two tournaments.



The Koreans were so desperate to get Oh involved, they sent manager Hwang Seon-hong to Glasgow in May for talks with former boss Ange Postecoglou and Hoops chiefs to try and persuade them to release the striker.

However, the tournament is not on FIFA dates and clubs are under no obligation to have to release any players.


But South Korea have instead opted to pick four European players instead of Oh - PSG's new starlet Lee Kang-in, Jeong Woo-yeong from Stuttgart, Park Kyu-hyun of Dynamo Dresden and Hong Hyun-seok of Gent.

Manager Hwang said: "I have tried all avenues to get more strikers, including those overseas.

"But if the foreign club does not allow the player to go to the tournament, then there is nothing we can do about it."

Oh will now avoid missing around a month of the season from early on in September, with the final due to be played on October 7.

 

If we keep shopping in the Asian market we will end up missing a lot of key players during the likes of the Asian cup etc

 

Really starting to warm to him. Seems to be improving all the time.

Brilliant performance. His all round play was fantastic. Dropped deep to get involved and his passing was excellent.

 

Thought he was really good, strong and linked play well.
