I think what Ange said about us being smarter with finding Kyogo rings true with him a bit also. His movement is actually really good but a few times again tonight the player with the ball didn't slip him in.

We definitely need to be smarter at times.

  2. People saying they don’t see it with him after about 5 games. * me :giggle1:

  3. I reckon he'll be a real handful once he settles in & we get used to him. Big unit with a presence who seems eager to make an impact.

  4. Early days I know, but have seen very little from him that suggest he will make it.
That chance he fluffed, striker instinct should have taken over and he would have got a shot off.

  5. Does seem to be a bit over eager at times, as i said ill happily be proven wrong.

  6. Signs of a good player. Goes down way to easily though. Jury still out, but am hopeful :50:

Well in those 5 games he's looked pish tbh. Floated around. Fell over. Got a yellow card once. He's barely threatened. Big GG came on and impacted games. So far this is a certain downgrade. However I'm aware he's young, in a new country and learning. Even the majority of the Japanese players took time to settle. So he needs more time.

At the same point it took GG almost twice the minutes to get the same goal return of 2

GG played 10 games and 382 minutes before he scored 2 goals or 191 minutes a goal. He also missed a penalty in there against livi. This was across 24 games as he missed 4 from the knee injury when he signed and then 7 games from another injury/ lack of fitness after the Dundee game.

Oh has 2 goals in 190 minutes across 8 games or 95 min a goal. He has been available for every game we've had since he signed and appeared in all of them.

I'm a big fan of GG, he was great for us, but it took him a while to hit his stride, so far Oh has shown a good physical nature in games, gotten into good positions and contributed, in the Aberdeen game hia movements creates openings that allowed us to score and he was in. He was blocking the defender nearest the shot for cals goal and started the move for Reo's first, almost had an assist for reo. GG had similar contributions too but this one was fresher in my head as a non G/A contribution.

  8. Think he’ll do just fine. Looks to have the desire and was a goal scorer in his old league. A huge change coming from Korea to here, think we underestimate that sometimes.

  9. Mental some folk are doubting him already.

He's a young guy in a new country with a whole new culture, who's barely been given a proper chance to show what he's about.

Give him time, he will settle. I think he's shown something every time he's been on the pitch. His positioning is the biggest thing that needs work, but that'll come with time on the training pitch.

Once we've won the league I think you will see him get a couple of starts. Also a full pre-season with the team will do him a world of good. If he can get 5 goals this season I would see that as a good sign. GG took ages to get going and that was really only after the winter break.

    * had written GG off after a handful of games as well. Some of our support love judging * on 10 minute cameos. Does my * box in.

Guy needs time to settle and a proper run of matches before any sort of proper judgement.

  12. This time in August he will be our number three striker think we will spend money on another striker for the champions League and I know it's early days but not making the same impact as kyogo or GG .

Seems to be a bit industrial in his play. Keen and enthusiastic but not a great touch and doesn't have a killer instinct a la Kyogo. Early days but will need to shape up quick.

  14. Just needs to calm down a bit..

Bit rushed last couple of games..

I actually feel like he's better suited either behind the striker or out wide.

Not saying he won't come good at ST, I think he will, but his movement is much more akin to a winger.

Wouldn't mind trying him at wing and Abada through the middle at some point.

  16. He's desperate to impress. Of course, most managers won't rotate strikers just to help the new guy settle in, but our team is well balanced in attack, and Oh can open space for others, so giving him more starts poses no risk.

  17. Far too keen to impress atm

He will be pumping them in next season

will bag a couple this season aswell

  19. Boys just really keen to impress id much rather that attitude and effort than not be arsed. Still a young guy settling in weve seennit so many times ie GG. Next season will be the time to judge him I reckon he'll be class for us once he starts getting more game time and familiarised himself with our system. Be patient guys.
