    Interesting concept :50:

    The orginial notion of the zombie however stemmed form voodoo and a sort of spell binding. This was connected to being able to raise people from the dead. The sort of mass reanimation of corpses came quite a bit later.

    The best more recent comic zombie films I have seen are Undead (2003) an Australian effort, and Black Sheep (2006) from New Zealand I think. Film about Zombie sheep - again Im stretching the definition a bit....

    Yup, I do know where it comes from and its history. You might know the film "The Serpent And The Rainbow" (starring Bill Pullman)then. Deals about voodoo/zombification in Haiti.

    "Undead" was a pretty good one, but "Black Sheep" was funny but nothing more than that imo.

    Although a bit repetitive in some parts, a pretty great movie shot entirely in Burkina Faso and Ghana (if my information is right). Give this one a try.

    I'm trying to find the title of a 80's zombie flick from Italy or Spain.

    There's a plane landing and a few zombies get out and infect a whole city.

    Spoiler:
    all the main actors and actresses get killed till somebody wakes up and it appears to be just a nightmare. just in that very second a plane like the one in the dream really lands at an aiport...

    Amazing thread, my wife thinks i'm a bit weird sometimes because i have a bit of a zombie collection. My favourite must be the trilogy of the dead boxset but the remake of the first 2 were quite good as well. I enjoyed the remake of day of the dead up until the bit where a zombie was running along the ceiling, that just ruined it for me. What about planet terror from tarentino, is that on the list.
