Brown constantly runs in to trouble. He loses the ball and put sus under pressure, his first touch is poor.

Skippy was pish, and with a bad attitude to boot. Maloney looked the most likely to make something happen. If you thought Naka was superb then what can I say ?

The problem is that we are so ordinary. That team gave us problems tonight and played through us at times far too easily. I do not share your assertion that we dominated so much. 'It just didn't work out' doesn't mean anything. We weren't good.

You seem to have been saying we'll click and be superb for as long as I can remember.

We are not out yet, there are 5 games to go but that was poor.

My view on our performance was this:

The defence: had a couple of scares but was sound.

The midfield: Brown poor, Naka nowhere in 1st half/much better in 2nd, Robson looked out of his depth, Maloney looked quality. McGeady when he came on looked off the pace.

Forwards: Samaras - did a good shift/ some good some bad, McDonald - was he there? JVoH looked like he could have done something if he had more time.

The problem is we have not replaced Stan Petrov , Brown is played out of his best postion due to wgs being a * of a gaffer same with naka is * wide right offers nothing at all ,

If the team we played against tonight was Barca, etc - then I would be half pleased - but it wasn't

So I'm very disappointed with the performance and also with the result - * poor is the answer

Strach has a better track record than MON, so I cant understand how some people think he should go, its a joke, clearly the glory boys who havent been there during our dark days of losing 9 in-a row to Rangers, BUT I do think some players take for granted the honour that is playing for celtic, Robson has been poor recently as have most of our players.

2 players get pass marks. Caldwell and Samaras.

Naylor and Hinkel were scared to run. Brown and Robson were content to go backwards.

Brown was our best player in the last 10 minutes, but thats not good enough for a team like us.

    McDonald was * poor.

    McGeady was * too.

Their was no movement what so ever.

I feel sorry for Samaras who tried his best, but nobody made any runs.

We should of had a goal

    * Penalty.

Wn 2 home games and 1 away and we are through.

I thought the back 4 were ok, Caldwell being least destingished. I thought Naylor had his best game in ages and Hinkle played well also.

    Skippy was awful, true

The best Hinkel done all night was once they lot went down to 10 men. He and Naylor offered no over lapping runs at all and the once Hinkel did we nearly had some success. And you need more of that from full backs, especially down the right were we have seen Naka can be more effective with a good overlapping full back - Paul Telfer style.McManus was still out of position a lot imo.

Now it is the defences fault that we didn't score more goals!

It was the forwards faults that we didn't score goals.

Don't even bother glorifying Paul Telfer, that has to be a joke...

Its Naylor and Hinkels fault that we didn't get as much joy out wide. They were absolutely dreadful in backing up the midfield.

I wouldn't blame Samaras for not scoring goals, he had to drop back just to get the ball and had to try and do everything himself. If we had any creative players, Samaras would be leathal.

Paul Telfer was an excellent full back, no the best. But he done the simple things well and got up and down the wings more times in one game than Hinkel has done in several.

Well with telfer the old saying "you don't know what you have got till its gone" applies fairly well.

I think we did know what we had, we just didn't expect Hinkel to be worse when we signed him. He played pretty well his first few games, but it just hasn't worked out.

But I understand what you are saying, I do find myself wishing he were still here.

When the other team is just packing the box like that, you rely a lot on the fullbacks to move up and help out.

Last night was so frustrating. 2 shots on target - a penalty and a free kick - that is nowhere near good enough. The full backs were terrible. Am I the only one that thinks Brown was one of our better performers last night ? Naka was non - existent for large chunks of the game imo. We have left ourselves with it all to do in terms of qualifying but Keep the Faith and get behind the team. I'm sure we can still do it.

We have to use more distance shots against these opponents. Cramping up the box makes it hard for anyone to win...

I think we had too many distant shots as it was, and anytime Maloney, McGeady, or Naka ever got close to range they were double and triple teamed.
What I think we really needed was a big american-football like linebacker to just mow people over like a *.
