I think a point could be up for grabs aslong as we defend the flanks well
-
-
I would play this team:
Gordon
Hutton--Mcmanus--weir--Mceveley
Mcfadden--Brown--Ferguson--Fletcher--Maloney
Boyd

gaff thats the team i'd play. though i dont think you'll see maloney in there.
dono about boyd on his own up front. useless unless we get the ball to him inside the box.
O'Conner maybe
i would also prefer caldwell to weir. but again, i dont see it happening. all in all, weir aint bad in the air. but SLOW -

i recon we can keep them at 0-0.
they are without henry. though, lets face it, they have a MASS of quality. -
Gordon
Hutton - Weir - Mick - McEveley
Caldwell
Fletcher - Brown - Captain Hun - McCulloch
O'Connor -
think oconner is the best bet up front as boyds a lazy sod. saying that if we did get a chance i'd prefer boyd on the end of it.
would like to se us have a go but think we will just go into siege mentality from the off. 0-0 our best hope i'd say. a win and it'd be dream land.. -
Tough one to call. If we can get out of there with a point then its job well done especially with the way the groups shaping up...if we win well thats another story that isn't it?

it'll be the toughest match they have played in the group, even without henry they are formidable! they will have all the posession and we will constantly be on the backfoot,if we get a chance we will have to take
it so id play boyd up top:fear: -

Would rather have Maloney start purely for his deadball skills. I think Caldwell may well get the sitting role in midfield.
A nice 0-0 will do me nicely.
C'mon the boys! -

BEST CASE SENARIO:
we beat france, italy/ukraine draw
Scotland 9 21
france 9 19
italy 9 18
ukraine 8 14
thats how the table would look- with 3 games remaining. 3 hard games
gerogia aint a bunch of mugs.
ukraine are a quality side
italy, well there the world champs.
but the hard two games are home games which is obviously to our advantage.
imo we really do need other results to go our way, draws etc with italy and ukraine
i think ukraine home willbe a very hard game, as will italy.
georgeia we might be expecting to beat now
but if ukraine or the tally's beat us at hampden we can kiss qualification good bye.Last edited by a moderator: Sep 11, 2007
