    Rangers vs Celtic thread

I didn't see it anywhere else, and with such a big game tomorrow I thought I'd start it.

Kick off: 1230, 29th March, Saturday

Main interests seem to be who Strachan will play up front. Will it be one or two, and who will get the nod out of Samaras, Big Jan and Skippy?

Midfield seems pretty obvious, with the only exception being who will partner Brown in midfield, will it be Donati, Robson, Hartley or Sno? Or will Strachan choose to play 5 in midfield and play two of these posibilities alongside Naka, Brown and Aiden.

Back four seems pretty certain despite rumours of Baldé coming back. It will be Hinkel, Caldwell, McManus and Naylor, as Strachan doesn't need to change the best defense in the league unless he has to.

My estimate at the starting line up:

    ------------------Boruc------------------
    ------------------------------------------
    --Hinkel---Caldwell----McManus--Naylor---
    ------------------------------------------
    -Nakamura---Donati---Hartley----McGeady--
    ---------------Brown----------------------
    --------------------Hesselink---------------

With Hartley playing in the holding role and Brown supporting Big Jan.

I'd stick with the tried and tested JVoH and McDonald to start and bring McDonald off for Samaras midway through the second half. They are less likely to get taken aback by the competitiveness and ferocity of a Hun match.

It's a toss up between Nakamura and Robson.Robson is an average player in his best position of central midfield and playing an already average player out of position does not bode well. However I can see Naka getting booted out of this game due to the closeness of the league and because we haven't played them for so long.Strachan has a tough decision to make.

waaaaaaaaaaaaaa??? Caldwell in midfield? Whyyyyyy? We have Sno who I rate.

    Boruc
    Caldwell - Balde - McManus
    Hinkel - Hartley - Robson - McGeady - Nayor
    Samaras - Jehovah

Well all know it's going to be a straight forward 4-4-2 though

If Strachan plays anything like that team I'll not have the nerves to watch the game live..

    Excellent news.

Bobo must start, Darcheville is a handful and I think Bobo is best suited to keepin him quiet, aswell as generally scaring the pants off them.

I'd start Balde too, Caldwell's been good recently but Bobo's no nonesense style could really help tomorrow. Also just noticed Donati isn't in the team news, wonder if that's a typo or if he is actually out all together

I've got a good feeling about it, combination of blind loyalty, nerves and the eternal hope and expectation that always surrounds Celtic.

The whole thing turns on its head tomorrow if we do the business as we go top.

    COME ON BHOYS!!

We win 2-1. Scorers:Balde after a free kick by Nakamura, and Samaras after a break through the blue defense. Ferguson scores for the Orcs.

Can see Naylor scoring a screemer from outside the box. We get a corner, hun heads it clear and Naylor smashes it into the far top corner :icon_mrgreen:
