Wouldn't you say that reducing anyone who disagrees with you to "The * UEFA brigade" is it itself a childish approach to discussion?

I myself do not support the banner - but releasing an arrested fan's name to the media is far more than a "minor perceived injustice". It is irresponsible, prejudicial, and quite possibly unlawful.

( BTW, minor perceived stylistic point - putting "End of story." at the conclusion of your post does not enhance its credibility. You need to post entirely in capitals and add "FACT." at the end. ) :50:

    Disgraceful.

Both Lenny and lawwell are correct in condeming this banner carry on.but both have crossed the line with remarks made on these articles.they are in danger of driving the fans away.does anyone else think that lawwell and Lenny would be a whole lot quiter if we were still 12 points behind and playing * like we were only a few weeks ago.

Lenny and lawwell, you are lucky * and privileged to have fans like us.i wish we could say the same about you.

About time. These idiots should be named and shamed. And to those who think Celtic have let the fans down , get a grip. If spouting you're fanatical and idealogical views is more important than the well being of our great football club then you deserve to be banned for life. The club doesn't need you. Cheerio, Cheerio, Cheerio..!

Look Sean, all I am trying to say is that what Celtic is doing is in the Club's best interest. It is all in your own best interests and all the fans to adhere to the Club's wishes.

That is not what you said though.

I can handle someone with an opposing point of view, but all I've had in here all day is "moron" "idiot" "wee boy" "get out" "embarrassing" "scum" and many more.

And I bet if I responded right now I'd get banned for it.

I never called anybody scum. That takes on a whole different meaning. But the Celtic Chairman came out today and said it was act of a few mindless juveniles. I'm only reflecting the views of the majority of fans. Needless to say, you've entrenched yourself in this fixed stance. All you have to do is put your hand up and agree that some of the behaviour of fans at the Udinese game was just uncalled for. It's not a us vs them scenario. We are all Celtic fans at the end of the day.

Please get a grip... just another club? What exactly has changed about our identity as a result of this whole sorry fiasco? The IRA chants have never and will never be an integral part of the clubs proud identity of 'more than just a club'. We've been warned about singing them before, we had made good strides and we've been punished now for singing them. Can we accept the punishment? No, some morons just have to go and make things worse, dragging the clubs name through the mud. The club are just trying to protect our reputation. We don't want or need fans who behave like that.

We all do stupid things sometimes. The life ban is because of the banner not because of the assault. We need to get real here people. This is bullshit. Poor guy.

    Do you honestly believe that?

The fact of the matter is the banner was a stupid thing to do and childish to boot.

But, the assault of a steward is a despicable, cowardly act that, quite rightly, should result in a life ban. And I say assault because I have no doubt this man is guilty. For all that some of you choose to believe, Peter Lawwel is not stupid and I have no doubt that the club has a watertight case against this man.

By naming and shaming they are just showing that if any of us continue to go against the wishes of the club and the leagues in which we participate, then we will not be able to hide behind the Celtic collective.

And they have my full support with that.

Although you appear quite happy to compare others to a disgusting regime that were responsible for slaughtering millions of innocent people. Can you see the irony here?

Nowhere in that or any other post did I compare anyone to any such regime.
