[Cross Platform] Official Battlefield 4 thread.

This game looks so good. Not had one before but will buy with Xbox one.

 

Just seems broken for me to get any fun out of it atm. Shame. Will wait for the patch as i am sick of playing a round for it to crash and get no XP.

 

On PC?

 

Mainly. Few issues on both consoles as well so i hear, but nothing as bad.
Shanghai i have never finished a round on as it always, always crashes :smiley-laughing002:
Bad lag spikes, poor hit detection, no sound most of the time, and dodgy battle reports/crashes causing loss of XP.

Might be worth a read of the Official Forums for the particular console you will be buying for, they are not backward about coming forward with problems :smiley-laughing002:

Yeah. Just played for nearly 40 minutes there had a * load of kills and XP and.... it hung. * of a game!

I can't afford it just now anyway, maybe a good thing, by the time I can all the bugs will be fixed!

 

Haven't had any of those issues and Im on PC. Still getting the odd server crash but its rare. Hate to mention the obvious but have checked your ATI/Nvidia drivers? Also direct x needs a separate update.

There should also be a 64 bit exe that you can run.

Battlelog forums usually cover most major bugs. Losing xp is a major pain in the *!

 

On the PC siege of shanghai map if your team is being hammered then you just need to demolish the skyscraper, causes about 80% of the players to crash :smiley-laughing002:

 

FFS, I thought they were supposed to be fixing the crashing issue, never had any bother until the last couple of days....every second game is crashing on the Xbox servers for me now

 

The netcode is pretty lame, BF3 was pretty bad but I would love to have that netcode back. Gets a bit irritating geting shot round corners . Patch tommorow might help.

 

Yep...have to agree its been way worse in the last few days. Servers disappearing from lists and crashes, PC client patch is due today 13th Nov , should go a ways to fix some of the issues.

 

Been scouring the BF4 forums and it seems to be a common issue across all platforms, the servers were down yesterday for maintenance, so hopefully things will get better. My Xbox just totally locks up when it happens, have to restart, * pain in the *.

 

Game plays fine for me now on the PC since the server and client updates.

 

Played yesterday on a few Hardcore domination (sounds a bit dodgy that) servers....Operation locker mainly. Got absoloutley beasted by a the same squad....these guys just play the same map over and over.

I was a * bullet magnet.

Paracel Storm is mint to play with those boats....Rush is great.

 

Cant play this anymore

Im finding it impossible to actually kill anyone/anything whether i am in a tank, attack chopper or on foot.
Other players seem to absorb everything i throw at them from tank shells to 100 rounds of 50 cal. They WILL. NOT. DIE.

Could be lag, but all day every day? Hmmm.

Team balancing is non-existent. If you start on a * team you may as well go find another server as you will be with them until you all quit. Sick of losing matches 0-786 or some *.
Is it a case of one whole team has the magical "cant kill a * thing but get one-shot-killed every time"? I'm beginning to think that way.
I am *, yes. But 1 kill in my last 5 matches just takes the *. Even shooting at infantry in a tank with shells and machine gun fire, they just absorb the lot.
The little cross comes up to say you are getting 'hits', but am i really?

Think i'll wait till the next half dozen patches are out to fix the * they break when they release a patch to fix * they broke with the last one.

I could handle the crashing as i was having fun and able to kill people. But now? Nah.

 

I've found that as well, I unload half a mag into an opponent at close range yet I seem to die from their first few bullets before they drop, I've unloaded three, three round bursts into the back of an enemy only to have the * turn round and kill me in an instant. I know games compensate for players with high ping by slowing down the game for people who have a low ping so I'd say this is the problem. If you have a good internet speed and low ping you're basically being penalised, the game seems to be over compensating.

 

Had to downoad a 260mb update(xbox 360) at the weekend, seems to be playing a lot better now, also the new maps are showing up on the server menu.
Is it just Premium who get them on the 3rd of December or do the ones who preordered the game get them aswell?

 

Never even played a Battlefield game, has this got a good single storyline mode or do people just get this for the online play?
