[Cross Platform] Official Battlefield 4 thread.

Out on the 1st in the uk, I still run about like a headless chicken :smiley-laughing002: but its great fun

 

Those big maps that you end up running around are really vehicle orientated but you can get across in fast vehicles and get to some hiding spots.

Close quarter maps are more like the COD style of play where you get tight urban style combat and 64 maniacs running around blasting each other in buildings.

New maps should be good for BF4, a few 'corridor' style layouts so your flanks aren't as exposed.

It's miles ahead of COD in terms of realistic military shooters unless you go for ARMA.

 

Pre-order was dispatched on Tuesday...so fingers crossed it might arrive today, then I can download the updates through the night and get a full day of Bf4 on friday.....bliss.

 

Will get my PC code off Amazon @ 12am get a few games in before the kip!

 

Just had a few games of Conquest....oh yeah.....this is gonna be addictive....again. Don't know about the other platforms but this feels and looks so much better than the beta did on the xbox 360

 

Been playing this the past couple of days and it's awesome!

One of my first kills was a 650m headshot :icon_mrgreen:

 

Keeps crashing on PC fs

 

Had mine pre ordered but went silly on the Steam sale and bought a couple of things so didn't have enough money left to go through :smiley-laughing002:

Have done it today so should be here Monday.

 

And again the MP is riddled with bugs/glitches.

* sake DICE. How many hours did people put into BF3 and still the same * appears in BF4. New game engine my *.

 

Been playing for a few days now....other than the usual game launch server issues it looks to bbe so much better than BF3. Some maps have bad company 2 feel which is no bad thing.

Currently grinding out weapon kits. TDM on Flood zone is epic!..as is operation locker.

 

looks like a few of the old battlefield 3 fan fave maps are going to be in the second assault dlc .....operation metro,gulf of oman,operation firestorm and caspian border have all been touched up and will include levelution features which look pretty neat.

 

Ended up just buying it as usual,so glad I did,its fantastic tbh.
Operation locker and the Large sea battle map is utterly fantastic,when the storm arrives mid way through map,so realistic....I hope siena crossing and Damavand Peak appear from the BF3,kinda bored of Oman and didn't like Caspian border.....

All in all fantastic....and I got it for 30 quid

 

There is a tornado in gulf of oman as the levolution feature....quality lol

I read it somewhere yesterday, turns out its actually a sandstorm but still looks awesome....an underwater operation metro too lol

 

Game is playing like * on my PC, low FPS causing stuttering, BF 3 ran with no problems either, I have 12GB ram, ATI HD6950 and i7 950

 

been really tempted to get this but going to wait and get it on PS4

 

Hmm, My 580 runs through it like butter on high settings, 8GB ram, i5 2500k

I had bought a GTX 780, Took it out again as the game crashes more with it in most likely * drivers atm.

On topic of the game, I like this alot more than BF3.

 

This looks like the carnage gta v should have been, might trade it in and get this.

 

Im running ati 7970..on ultra settings I get 80 - 90 fps....If I run on 3 monitors eyefinity I get 40 fps on med-high settings....game gfx are stunning tho
