Im not sure if i want a normal 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1. If we've got Lenny and Sno battling away in Midfield with Tommy G in between them, who's no pushover either, i think we'd be solid in the middle of the park. Fair do's we'd only have one striker up front in JVOH, but im not sure we'd get any joy with 2 strikers anyway, i think maybe set-pieces will be our best chance. Plus the fact Grav, McGeady and Naka would be supporting anyway, i think 4-5-1 would be the best way to go.

    This is ma prediction:

    Boruc

    Wilson McManus O'Dea Naylor

    Naka Lennon Gravesen Sno McGeady

    JVOH

I can see Miller coming on at some stage tho, prob the 70 minute mark, when the defence will be starting to get a bit jaded. Also i'd like to see Riordan get on at some stage, think he's got the talent to give us a wee spark.

However it pans out, i'm confident we can get a result, some of the performances on Saturday have set-us up nicely and confidence should be high. Plus the fact that we don't know when we're beaten, it's looking quite good for the Bhoys. COME ON THE HOOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!! :shamrock: :shamrock: :shamrock:

You hope Craig Beattie never plays for Celtic again? I hope that was a joke.

    Predicted line-up:

    Artur Boruc

Wilson... or Telfer. A tricky one
    Naylor
    McManus (Should be fit)
O'Dea (or Caldwell if he's fit)

    Nakamura
    McGeady
    Gravesen
    Lennon

    JVOH
    Riordan

A lot of if's or buts but we need to go 4-4-2. If we get a goal and go ahead, maybe not attack so much, but we need to go full force at them.

5000 Tims Fly Out to Milan!

THOUSANDS of Celtic fans were jetting off to Italy today ahead of the Champions League clash with AC Milan.

More than 5000 supporters were leaving Glasgow Airport on 39 flights with a further 1300 supporters expected to travel independently.

And it's thought another 3000 were travelling to Italy without tickets in the hope of buying them in Milan.

advertisementGlasgow Airport today laid on extra staff to ensure the travelling support passed through the security checks smoothly.

The Italian authorities, who are under pressure to control football crowds, have warned they will check supporters for passports and tickets when they arrive at the San Siro.

Any fans who have bought last-minute tickets that are for the AC Milan section of the ground will be refused entry and may face arrest.

But fresh security fears were sparked today after it emerged more than 20,000 home tickets remain unsold.

Peter Lawwell, Celtic's chief executive, said: "Our information is that those with tickets outside the correct area will not get in. There will be a passport cordon, then metal detection, then the new turnstiles.

"Our advice remains not to travel unless your ticket is for the correct Celtic area."

AC Milan organising director Umberto Gandini echoed the security warnings.

He said: "We look forward to welcoming Celtic fans in Milan but would ask all supporters to adhere to the advice given."

We won't underestimate we never do in games like this. I wouldn't say we were surprised by anything Celtic did, it wasn't a stereotypical Scottish performance at least. I'm kinda expecting a red in this. Perhaps from Sno, he should of been booked, the ref will certainly not be so lenient in the San Siro. Milan's disciplinary record of late is nothing short of crap. So we could easily go down to 10.
Was it a poor Celtic performance 2 week back or was that you playing at you're usual, because honestly, you're going to get schooled if you play like that again. You have the advantage, it's just wether you can capitalize.

That wasn't our usual strategy. Considering we were playing Milan, we were really cautious as too not concede a goal at home.

I just don't want to be sitting there with my cans watching a stuck screen all night. How soon before kickoff do you have to buy it?

The line up v Milan debate thread

Keep wondering if we should go 4-5-1 or 4-4-2. Originally thought we should go cautious but I really think it doesnt matter as long as every player busts a gut and we defend as a unit. So I think we should go for:

    Boruc

    Wilson Mick O'Dea Naylor

    Naka Lenny Grav McGeady

    Jvoh kenny

Putting Grav in is a risk but he played well on Saturday. So did Sno but I think Lenny has to play. If we do have a 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1, I think we drop Kenny and play Sno-def not JJ.
