You could also add that JVOH was clearly not fit but all together that would have left us with no strikers at all apart from Deeks who has never played there for us yet. WGS had little choice up front. Miller is injured and in the deepest trough of no self confidence at the minute and Jarosik is not a striker (or a midfielder IMO). Neither should have played against Milan but what can you do with all these injuries. The real mystery is why have we had more injuries in one season than the last 5 put together?

Gilardino was a fucing disgrace.. he says he slipped but honestly i don't belive that *.

You've got to get Gravesen playing if you want to go through, Sno wasn't ready for a game like this, and certainly not an oponnent like Kaka.

Btw, did you underrate Milan or overrate yourselfs? Because all the scorelines that were predicted seemed to me this is a very strong Celtic side. We kept you out of the game and should of scored 1.

Gourcuff, Pirlo, Kaka, Gattuso played amazing games, and who thought he'd get sent off?:56: Jarosik should try some non football related career. He was useless against us.

I'd say you've got the advantage, all you need is a score draw..But you are rather pathetic away. And we never seem to go out if we play home second leg.
PSV, Bayern Munich, Lyon. But this is a Sheva-less Milan.

What about 2nd leg line up-not sure whether this needs a new thread. I think we need to be very careful and try to * it. We will not win an open game. I would go for:

    Boruc

    Wilson Mick O'Dea Naylor

    Naka Sno Lenny Grav McGeady

    JVOH

Kicking your players? Besides a mis-timed Maldini tackle the game was clean. You're an *. Did you see Sno's marking on Kaka, hitting people in the face is NOT a legal tackle.

Gourcuff got studded by Gravesen. You didn't kick the ball out straight away. Oddo won the ball back then was told to kick it away, 30 seconds after Gourcuff had gone down. A non-Italian team and you'd not be complaining...

Bobo you are about the only one on this Forum, apart from myself, that has
the balls to say Lennon is finished...:50:

If Lennon plays at the San Siro, then we are finished...

I saw the first half of the match...Celtic played very bad, it wasn't able to do any shoot(except Nakamura free kick). Fortunately, Gilardino wasn't so good and Boruc is a great keeper...playing this way, it will be very difficult to defeat Milan in San Siro

Very true but we played just as bad against Man Utd and went through...we just have to stay organised and give 100% and we will see what happens:celt_2: :shamrock:

Not that I want to get embroiled in (another!!) Lenny debate, but the guy is our most experianced player...not just at this level, at any level...well apart from International Level :97: .
You have guys like Hartley & Pressley who've played against him for years, coming out saying they always thought Lenny was good, but didn't exactly realise just how good he actually was.
I think he may retire next season, but I also think that we will REALLY REALLY miss him if he does.
Aye he's slowing up, that's undoubted, but we put out a pretty young team on Tuesday & Lenny was essential to getting them through the game unbeaten - again he did his job!!
As you said Bobobhoy he does the simple jobs well, you said you played football - how hard is it to do the simple things? Especially against World Class superstars!
Did you see Gattusso take the time & energy to show respect to Lenny, when he was subbed?? Gattusso has respect for Lenny, he appreciates what he does for the Celtic team!

playing lennon as not to expose o'dea and mcmanus i think is *, surely, this meant we sat to deep and brought milan on top of us, which in-turn possibly gave them more to do,

milan done it right as they defended in our half most of the game and when we got possesion our midfielders had to far to run to get out of the danger areas and lets face it some of our players are not blessed with pace.

i think wgs set out not to lose the away goal, and in doing so we never showed them our full hand , we can play alot better and employ better tactics, more-over with a more attacking style,

this is why i beleive wgs is showing his tactical nouse, milan's manager and players went home saying they came for a draw in the knowledge they will rip us apart at the san siro, well celta vigo ,liverpool, blackburn ,stuttgart all said the same thing. all the pressure is on milan as they are totally expected to win it now,no ifs no buts.

there may be trouble ahead, and not for us,

the away goal is what they didnt get and they will not be happy at that.
so lets pile a bit of that fact on them, and watch them squirm
if its still 0-0 in the second half their little sphincters will tighter than a dolphins blow hole
    hail hail

    FFS GUYS!...come on here!....
it will be a completely different game across there!!
yes the game on tues was poor but 0-0 is a decent result especially not conceding at home leaves this tie wideWIDE open! we now now exactlywhat to do in the next leg.
Alot of you thought Milan? we have a chance here because they aint playing to well, rightly so!
on tues milan came out to stiffle the game and strangle the life outta it....kaka never really came forward prefering to hold the midfield area and work backwards...across there they are gonna come on to us creating space for us to exploit naka and the wide players will get more space..
i still think we have a chance 1 goal they need to score 2!!!
