    Anything can happen:
A half full San Siro, will be a bit daunting for them & maybe remind them of Italian football's recent troubles (?)

The ref may be extra vigilant after Gilardino's pathetic dive, got him booked.

Riorden & Beattie should hopefully be fit.

WGS has had a fortnight to work it out.

Naka will want to make up for missing that sitter in the 2nd half. :97:

The whole team now know what needs to be done, they have the opportunity to go down in the club's history - Milan have been there & done it, so maybe in a perverse way our inexperiance at this level will go for us (?)

Plenty of reasons to be optimistic, as has been said - a score draw puts us through!! :celt_2:

exactly hairy toes:50: all the pressures on milan. if we * an early goal we can just sit in and defend and they have to score two:50:

I think WGS got his tactics right last night but will now have 2 weeks to reflect on what he is going to do ..Should be a belter of a game .Dont forget that our away record in the CL is nothing now as we are now in unknown territory , last 16 2nd Leg .....:celt_2: :50:

have too disagree with u m8. if AC had some 1 to finish on the park last n8 it could have been a different story. a just felt last n8 we werent good enough- had no attacking midfield players on, mcgeady was poor going forward. sno good on the ball but not off it.
maybe my expectations of us are too high but a just want us too be best in world, but last n8s performace was poor overall. aye AC are a gr8 team but no that good. must improve big time for away game.

I think WGS realises that , and he will be working on that in the next couple of weeks .........If we had took our chances we would have been 1-0 , 2-0 , up ...Hey lets hope that it all comes right on the 7th March :50: :celt_2:

We need a more creative player through the middle to give us a different option from going down the wings all the time we where to obvious , also i think we should hav some set plays worked out it seems at times as if we are throwing the ball in at set pieces and if naka does hav a chance from a free kick from a certain angle we hav no other option , we hav lee naylor throwin long throws into the box to nobody surely something could be worked of these moves also i can't think of us gettin any sucess from one yet.

    I agree

If Milan had their shooting boots on last night, we would have been skinned
    2 or 3-0..

Our midfield was too lightweight, and we produced nothing going forward

Miller was running about looking like the walking wounded,... I don't think he should have played with that head injury,... he seemed to be inhibited with
the fear of getting hurt again,... and Jarosik made no impact at all.

Sno was singlehandlely trying to stem Milan's attacks, while Lennon was doing his usual back pedalling,... Nakamura was off the boil,... and McGeady got little or no service down the left wing, with two Milan defenders on him all the time..

Last night called for a General in our midfield...and I reckon Graveson
    would have been the man..

He did more in the ten minutes he was on, ...than the rest of the midfield
    put together..

I believe it will take a radical change of tactics and personnel, to have
any prospect in the San Siro..

And if we had our shooting boots on, it could have been the same to us. If, buts, nuts, maybe:87:

a midfield general ala PIRLO... great post stonewall:50: forget the loyalty 2 lenny bhoys he imo is our weak link...hes slow one dimensional his passing is extremely limited and predictable...lambert at least could mix it and get forward mommentum going in a 4-4-2..
lets hope the REAL tommy g shows up in the san siro

    FORZA FORZA
    i believe i believe:56: :56: :56:

    Bobo....You know your football...that is for sure..:50:

And I agree ...Lennon is past his sell by date..

WGS will have to be very adventurous and realistic
in his selection for the San Siro game IMO

It's a time to go for it....not to sit back and be crucified
    in Milan...:50:

I think he should play snow and gravesen in milan. I dont agree lennon was the best player on the nite i think snow was our best player, its the best ive seen him play. Lennon is too slow i dont think he could handle seedorf if he plays in milan.

FIRSTLY:50: well after playing the game for years ..i don't bow 2 no mans view even WGS ..i have my own mind and i see the game the way I SEE IT..

Lennon imo should NOT HAVE EVEN PLAYED AGAIN AFTER THE CYLDE MATCH LAST SEASON..

in dublin we have no bigotry and feel no alliance 2 NOBODY..
we judge people and players on their ability alone NOT THEIR BACKGROUND

    now...

lennon played ok at best last nite..done the simple things well fair enough but christ he slows the game down 2 a crawl..this imo is the main reason milan got a foothold on the game, we should have played a faster tempo from the first minute at paradise and put em under pressure BRITTISH STYLE IF YA LIKE(hate that word btw:56: )

lennons presence in the team is vastly overated in a 4-4-2 formation..he is only championship quality right now never mind CL..

look at his opposite holding midfielder pirlo..the difference in quality is immense...PIRLO has pace can tackle back and his passing is on a different planet to lennon

LENNON NEVER GIVES THE BALL AWAY U SAY??

never gives the ball 2 useful positions for building attacks I SAY

a similar player 2 compare lennon 2 be would roy keane ...watching the 2 of them on the same pitch last season it was obvious how superior roy is..his touch vision quality are CL class ..lennons never were imo

    ur shout:56: :56: :56:

    QUACK QUACK

dont mess with this duckie lol

I get to see the whole game tomorrow, did listen to the play by play on Clyde1.
BOBO I like what you have said and how you handled the novice tbm, you sure make sense and sorted him out.
Now having said that one thing stands out and I find it * scary, why is your handle in the forum, BOBOBHOY? :87: :84:
