in a way this so called "humping" from milan maybe a blessing in disguise. as ppl have said the hoops had a young team out on the field, and they will only learn from the experience. now they know what to expect from milan and can take that experience to the san siro with them:50:

boruc, sno, o'dea, hesselink, i thought played very well, but the rest where well below par
lennon, miller, mcgeady, naylor, wilson, did not perform to a good standard and can play better but at this standard the deficiances in neill and jiri jarosic
will hold us back at this level.
they are too slow, neill i think can do a job in the spl but not at this level though can play better than last night.
jiri jarosic though, aint doing it at all, from his body language to effort, has not shown enough and even playing out of position could be more involved,
he could leave in the summer with no detriment to the team.
on a positive note we have not shown our full hand and could play a couple of trump cards in milan,in beattie and riordan.
not losing the away goal is a major positive and if they play as we did against porto we could well replicate the results at anfield and at blackburn.
i did'nt like neill lennon's reaction when substituted. could say more on it but dont want pegged as anti-lennon as seems to be the way of it nowadays.
still think we can go through as we can play better, and i dont think milan can carry the luck they had in posession as every bounce and deflection fell to one of their players.at one point i thought we were playing aberdeen. hail hail

Mebbe i'm one of the disgusting * you are talking about either way even if i'm not i'll have a go at this. Most of your post seems to be just hyperbole disguised as fact but you are entitled to your opinion(see how it works)just like you were when you said all the Celtic players should be severely fined after a poor performance(again in your opinion, was it the 1-0 agin Dunfermline canna mind that bit)and altho i think most folk obviously disagreed with that nobody called you a *.
In your next post you have a pop at Stonewall and ask him where he thinks Strachan got it wrong, well i can't speak for SW but what i think is
he wasn't far wrong tactically but if Tommy had of played from the start(in place of KM) i think he would have closed down Pirlo, denying him time and space and restricting him from pinging those long balls of his around the park.Mebbe TG's trademark runs would have dragged Gattuso away from Aiden(giving him more freedom,)and mebbe stopping the Milan back 4 from having so much uncontested possession.I also wasn't mad keen on zonally marking Gilardino but all of that is nothing more than supposition and my honest opinion and i could well be wrong.Been following Celtic home and abroad for 25 of my 31 years and i've met a lot of Celtic fans and have had arguments and disagreements( and pretty much all of the best times of my life with them,)and wherever it was when we disagreed we still respected each other's opinion mebbe you should try that again just a thought tho feel free to ignore it

Sno was bricking it. Especially in the first half. He gave away two careless freekicks, and was lucky he didn't get booked. Better second half though. More careful and passed the ball better.

No you weren't Graham, I was reffering mainly to Micek and a few other who were saying the match was a disaster and we're out. You always seem to bring up that dunfermline match when you disagree with me, and I still stand by my post because I meant it, play was truly revolting than afternoon.

Most of my posts are not hyperboles in disguise because I hardly think having a pop at people who say we were utter * yesterday and that we're out is exagerated. What happened to the purpuse of being a celtic supporter, of following your teams through thick and thin? I'm sorry for not being as democratic as you are, but it's my nature to have a go at people who are not IMO real celtic fans. It appales me to see so many doom and gloom merchants on the site and I just can't and will not keep quiet. Hitler had an opinion aswell, does it mean we have to accept it?? I don't mean that there are fascists on the forum by that, I just want to show you than not all opinions are good and have to be accepted. I just can't take some of the negative, unfair posts written Graham, you might agree that were out and that yesterday was a catastrophy, yet I can't see why you would.

Also, I feel that a 50 year-old man who has speant over 30 years in football has better tactical knowledge than any of us on this site. I don't pretend I'm a manager so I give Gordon the upper hand everytime he makes a decision because it's his job, and he's doing it very well, therefore I think he knows best what there is to do.

Not posts mate just that 1 post i disagreed with.Didn't know i brought up the Dunfermline thing before it must have just stuck in ma head,so i don't mean to hold it over you.
I don't think we are out and all of today my byword to non celtic people who were having a go was remember Boavista i don't think that yesterday was a catastrophe i said it was a good performance agin a * good side.I do think we could have beaten them tho.I don't think we should be glad that we drew with AC milan just cos they are AC milan, reputations mean nothing on the pitch and better teams than AC have got skelped at CP.
And i do think Strachan knows his stuff of course i do,i also think he can get it wrong and i don't think he'd mind fans having honest opinions once they are constructive and genuinely meant. No offence intended to you i just thought disgusting * was too far.:50:

    I agree..:50:

We are all entitled to our opinions whether positive or negative, it is how
each of us see the game, pros and cons, and I am certain we all share the same desire to see Celtic progress to the last eight of the Champions
    League :celt_2:

That said...I was appalled by WGS tactics last night, too cautious by far, most unlike him, and his body language on the touchline suggested to me, he realised he had got it all wrong..

What was most disconcerting to me, was his failure or inabilty this time, to
use his substitutes promptly and wisely to change the course of the game.

I would have hooked Miller and McGeady at half time, and put on Graveson and Jarosik to get some forward movement and momentum in the team.

We made Milan look good by our negative and lacklustre tactics, and there
seemed to be no fighting spirit in the team.

I just hope and pray that there is no personal enmity between WGS and Graveson,.... otherwise it will seep through the team and the dressing room like a cancer..:87:

    CAN WE DO IT?.

after a scoreless draw in glasgow 0-0 is NOT a bad result ,we now have the advantage of away goals counting double. celtic MUST go for an early goal in milan and rattle the italians. so get the heads up .we shall not be moved....:celt_2:

    Yeah we can do it.

Our away form in the CL is abysmal....BUT the knockout format changes the mentality of the players.

If we can stay in the game until half time then Milan will get nervous about 1 mistake which could cost them big time.

We're underdogs but the tie is very much alive.:50:

All the results during this round have been tight. There has only ever been a goal in it in every match. We should go to the San Siro and shut up shop and hope to hit them on the break, or more likely from a set piece.

We just can't play like eejits like we did at Benfica and Copenhagen.

Remeber, if we score first then they are screwed. They have to come on to us and score two, and that leaves holes at the back.

look in the bright side bhoys and ghurls. if it stays nil each we go through to extra time and all it takes is one moment of magic to score a goal. the balls in milans court now, so we can just sit back and defend and hope to score:50:

Can't really understand the doom and loom about yesterday, Were are playing against the best 16 teams in the world and keeping a clean sheet is more important than winning by the odd goal at home

We live to fight another day and the law of averages say that we will beat AC Milan in the San Siro
