does this i might not be called a hun for questioning lennon's role in the team 2day:56: ..

seriously though..i didnt see that but he does go ott imo at times with the whole captain stuff..

wouldn't read 2 much in to it ...he waz probably more * at himself than anyone else that we didnt perform 2 our best:50:

0-0 is not the end of the world, by the way WGS set the team out, I'd say he was quite happy with the result & performance.
Hopefully we'll have Beattie & JVoH for the away game (if we play 4-4-2) as Miller was * - end of the road for him now, as far as I'm concerned!

Milan will probably have more options available in a fortnight too, but the onus is on them to win, in front of their own fans - so if we can hold out as long as possible, the fans could get on their back (sorry to state the obvious).
What I mean is that a result in the San Siro is not beyond us & that's what WGS will be telling the team, we now know what has to be done & I think that Milan will be the only thing on the players/WGS mind from now (* the Scottish Cup) & I would hope to see them concentrate on how to squeeze a result away in Milan, rather than how to squeeze a result away in Inverness.

Not as I'd hoped for, but at least we've still got our hope & faith, fingers crossed for a wee bit of charity!!:50:

Remember the San Siro won't be full, they'll have less than CP & our fans will probably make more noise.....

Overall i don't disagree with those. I would say tho' that as a collective group the back 4 should get at least a 9 for not conceeding.
i also think GS was spot on with his after match assessment. We showed too much respect and give them too much time on the ball. The old bloke Maldini strolled thro the game unti TG came on and started hassleing him then he was booting the ball anywhere.

I think UEFA should hand a ban to Gilardino, that was an utter disgrace

Shocking performance last night im afraid. The Celtic team looked petrified totally wrong mentality it was an inspid and un-inspired no dig,no hunger no will to win the match.

McGeady? usual pathetic performance in Europe you need more than a trick, that seems all the boy has in his locker.Riordan hopefully will be back in a fortnight

Just sh1te - we need a complete change in mentality for the return leg and thats a much harder thing to change than 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1.So in that respect the tie is already over unless we change ---BIG TIME!

We are usualy fearless at home but we seemed controled by fear.Fear of losing rather than a will to win

Maybe someone tried to get to the other referee and Uefa got wind of it and decided to change the ref, thats all i can think of.

Other than that Gilardinho was hilarious

You must have had a lot of pints when you were watching the game:56: Lenny (and I am not a big fan) was awesome last night. His best game in ages. If he could only consistantly play like that I would give him another year. Boruc, McManus and Sno were excellent too (as you say) but Naka was our best player. The rest were only so so apart from Kenny and McGeady who were * poor-McGeady was OK in last 10 minutes. The main reason we drew was that only 5 out of the 11 hit top form, 4 were so-so and 2 were mince. I thought we played well at keeping the ball but we needed 9 or 10 out of 11 hitting top form like we did against Benfica.

greatest thing about football is everyone can see different things from a game..:50:

btw.. i never said lennon didnt play ok last nite..i gave him a 6...thats not my idea of an awesome performance from a holding midfielder..now PIRLO he waz awesome and showed how 2 play that position and still create

    Celtic team v Milan

Who would you play in the 2nd leg?

Boruc, Wilson, Naylor, McManus, O'Dea, Lennon, McGeady, Nakamura, Jarosik, Beattie, Hesselink.

Subs...Brown, Gravesen, Riordan, Miller, Telfer, Sno.

That team would surely sneak a goal

i thought Wilson was poor last night now maybe it's just a working your way back to fitness thing but and i can hear the laughter as i type this, at this moment i would play Telfer ahead of him.

Wilson was scared last night,he just looked petrified.Telfer might have been better last night but Wilson is a better defender and we will need good defenders in the San Siro
